great book, abrupt cliffhanger ending

Loved the story & where it was heading. Didn’t like the abrupt ending that seemed to come out of nowhere. There’s no mention of a second book that I can find, I’m hoping there is bc I’d like to see where the story continues.

Okay - in the beginning I was a little confused - but then it got better.

Bella Malum: She's a wonderful character. I really liked her. I can't bring to words what she was like. Anyway she's a good character.

Dominic Regnum:
Okay the funniest thing ever - as Bella got his name, like her first thought was "You know your name sounds like Rectum" HAHHHHAHHAHAHAHAH
Okay - so let's come to him: Dominic / Nic he is patient with her, but keep so much information from her - like guy - no. And that he did that - like no no no. BIG NO. NO

Sandro: OMG - THAT HE IS her . WOW - I mean wow. PS: This isn't 100% confirmed but she found it out - and I am sure they didnt lie to her.

QUOTES: SPOILER - ITS LONGGGG
Would you like me to turn around for you? Make it easier for you to ogle me?

How pathetic. I’d been tricked and threatened and had the hots for a guy who may or not be talking inside my head. Stockholm Syndrome at its finest, ladies and gentlemen. Focus, Bella.

“You realize your last name sounds like rectum, right?”

Bastard. Now, Bella, I’m not a bastard.

“My oh my… do you feel the air? It’s… singing around her. Benji, get her name. I think it’s going to be important.”

“Nic.” “Mica. I see you’ve met my mate.” “Mate?” Mica’s face blanched, and he dropped his arm from around me. “Yes. This is her.”

I’ve longed for you, Bella. Waiting for my mate. But I never imagined you’d be… this lustrous. You’re divine.

Yes. You are magnificent, Bella. How will you taste? Like sunshine? Like forbidden whiskey?

“Don’t worry about funds. You’re my Regina. You’ll never worry.” “Seems shady.” I narrowed my eyes. He ignored my comment. “Move in now.” “Nah, I’ll wait until the expiration date. So… where do I live?” “With me.”

Sandro reached the banister with a tortured expression on his face, but I flipped him off. “In case that wasn’t clear, that means fuck you. I’ll make sure to look up how to say it in Domini. If that’s even a real thing.”

“My Maluma, I sensed your thoughts from my wing. Why are you upset? Can I help? Tell me.”

“Worse has happened. You’re very strong, my Bella. Your energy, your mind… your connection with Sandro, how you can block me. No one should be able to complete those tasks.

“Prince, leader, king, or mate, I’m not a second. Have a good night, Dominic."

“We can chat later. I took care of all my business for the day, and I would like to spend time with you. Are you able to make some time for me?” - It was stupid, the butterflies in my stomach. He had been kinder since that night in the kitchen—bringing me breakfast when he could, joining me when I read in the library sometimes, and walking me to the gym before he left for whatever he did.

“Nic, stop, what the fuck?” I gripped his arm, but he didn’t budge. Rage fueled me, and without meaning to, something snapped in my mind, sending Nic to the floor. “Enough.” “He offended you,” Nic said, frowning as he rubbed his forehead and looked at me. “No. It was a joke. God.”

All three men stared at the strength in my voice. It sounded like me, but it also didn’t.

“Be mad. Hit me. Yell. But let’s do it inside? The surprise visitor today has my nerves on end. Come.”

Sandro quickly brought his attention to Nic, and an idea struck me. Blocking him. I projected a large wall, stopping all thoughts to travel, and sure enough, Sandro gave me a panicked look. - Did you prevent me from communicating with Nic? Yes. He doesn’t need to know about our conversation.

“You are the first Regina to begin training at the gym. None in our past have done that. None have been considered to join a career path, which you can when you want to talk about it. The Reginas’ main goal was to please the Dynastes and, in return, they would get whatever they wanted. Money, kids, cars… you are unique in your desires.”

High five, Bella. Nice work.” I bowed and pretended to cry. “That was the first nice thing you’ve ever said to me, Dro. I’m touched.”

“I’m not so sure. I constantly try to convince you to get naked around me, but it never works.” - “I’m joking, Bella.”

“I’ll start you one. I won’t invade your privacy if you don’t want me in there, but I need to be near you tonight. Is that okay?” - “Please?” Fuck. He pleaded. I was weak when he used his seductively sweet tone. “Okay.” - Stay with me tonight. I arched a brow, not responding either way. He swallowed hard and nodded. Please stay with me tonight. Please. I want to know you’re safe. I’ll be good. “Okay.”

“Bella, Domina, come sleep. I promise, I will not do anything unless you ask. I just want to be near you.” I closed my eyes, letting the truth of his words hit me. “Okay.” “Come to bed. You need rest after today.”

Nope. You’ve used up all your jealous cards today. If you play another, you are dismissed. “I am dismissed?” He caught up to me at the end of the stairs and placed his thumb and pointer around my wrist. He had laugh lines around his eyes, and I nodded. “Exactly. Dynastes or not, you can be dismissed.

It happened fast. The combination of my anger and hurt. It was like a rubberband snapped the hold he had over me, smacking his control away, but I could move freely, and I channeled every thought, cell, vibe, and ounce of energy I had into freezing him. I threw him on the ground, his expression frozen in shock.

“No, no. You misunderstand.” He laughed and put a hand on Nic’s shoulder when he joined us. Nic’s expression matched mine: confused, annoyed, and angry. “Bulla, she broke the hold and reversed it. On me.”

“You’re a bastard.” “Come on, Bella. What upset you to the point you pinned me completely to the ground? You can tell me. I thought we were friends.”

“You are the closest thing here to making this feel like a real home. I’m mated with Nic, I know, but our friendship felt natural, and it hurt me to think it was just a waste of your time. I’ve been told that throughout my life—”

“I’m not looking for pity, but my biggest weakness is belonging. My parents gave me up, my foster families were just filling in, and the only person who made me feel at home was Kristin. But you took me from that, too. You ripped away the little confidence I had living here. That’s why I was furious. That’s why I snapped.”

Maluma, why is your anxiety shouting at me? If you want to cancel our date, tell me. I do not want to cancel our date. Can I come to you? Wow, look at your progress. You asked!

Thirty-two times. Nic had either hugged me, put his hands on my shoulders and pulled me to his chest, or pressed his lips against some part of my skin since we left the cave an hour ago. It was about forty minutes outside Flagstaff, and the walk back to the car was as uneventful as possible.

Your strength is incredible. Your beauty, mind, soul. All of you.

It was easy to forget about the final thing I kept when his hands and tongue explored every part of me. It was easy to lose myself in him, my mate, and that’s just what I did.

I need more!!!

I don’t rate books often so excuse me if this isn’t helpful.
This book was amazing! I love the real world references, it made me feel very connected with Bella. I loved her energy and her attitude towards kicking out dated traditions to the curb. I love that she has the strength to resist a hot guy with a nice smile. I loved the slow burn build to Bella and Nic’s relationship. I love that their relationship isn’t just sex sex sex. I loved that the story wasn’t rushed, well written and I could picture the scenes playing before me like something from Reading Rainbow! Im going to be patient for the next book because I loved the flow of this book. But I cannot wait to read the next one!!! Hopefully there will be a next one? Theres gonna be a next one!!! Right?

This was honestly a 4-5 ☆ read for me up until the last like 50 pages. I LOVED the plot, and the characters (main and side), and the story building. But it was like a giant build up for quite literally nothing being resolved! The ending was like the book was just cut off, none of my questions answered, AND extra information thrown in right at the conclusion?

There’s also no sign that there’s more books coming, nothing from the author, and nothing in the book. If I would’ve known this is how the book was going to end, I wouldn’t have even read it.

I loved this book. It was so so easy to read and I found Bella so likable. She's thrown into a world she doesn't understand and doesn't mind speaking her mind!

Nic, he may seem like a dick to begin with, with his 'I'm your master' vibe, but he soon learns that won't wash with Bella.

I liked the storyline and the characters progression through the book. The world building was connected enough with reality to make it easy to picture.

The book does end quite swiftly, I would have liked an epilogue or just a bit more of them in a good place.

Recommended read.

started strong with interesting plot but i quickly grew tired of it. not enough was happening to hold my attention with the plot or the romance. MMC was possessive and jealous and the main chick doesn't like that. she is literally crazy and that's what ruined it?? let him be jealous?? that's hot?? DNF

I loved it!!! when is the next one coming out??!!

So, this book was new and refreshing. I read a LOT, and I haven’t read a storyline quite like this one before now. The Main Female Lead was smart, funny, and very strong. The people who revolved around her were great supporting characters, and I am totally invested in all of them. I even want to know more about the bad guys. There were so many questions left unanswered-answered, and this is shaping up to be quite a series. I’m REALLY excited about it!!!

If you are looking for spice, then this is a slow-burn. The storyline makes up for it, but if you are expecting more than heavy-petting, then this will leave you wanting more. That’s not to say that the potential isn’t there because these two are going to be crazy passionate together. It just means that the deal isn’t sealed in this book.

I will say this….the cliffhanger was like stopping mid-paragraph for me, and now I’m dying to know what happens next.

That being said, when is the next book in this series coming out??! I want it now, or yesterday, or in like 20 minutes. Any of those times are good for me ;) .

Do yourself a favor and read it. Don’t be the person who waits for the finished series because who knows when that will be. Plus, it’s just too good of a story to let it fall to the “Maybe Later” bin.

Given notice before being picked up...

The title is miss leading. I feel it ended with a lot of very loose ends. That's why I have it 4 stars instead of 5. Other wise it was a good book.

My rating would be 3.5 stars, but unfortunately, I can't give half stars and I can't round up the book to 4 stars, since there were many things, I was not happy with.

For one, this book is clearly not finished, and it published like a standalone and there is no note to the fact, that it ends more on a cliffhanger/story with many loose ends. I wouldn't have picked up the book, if I had known about that.

The build up was difficult too, since we get a lot of information about the world and so on, but at the same time there is so much lack of explanation on things. We are constantly in the dark. And it doesn't help, that the characters are holding back, either.

Of course, I get it, that there has to be some sort of tension and conflict. But the story is a repeat of things happening over and over again. And therefore the general progress is slow. Even the heat level is more like non-existent to moderate. Sure, there is some sort of attraction? But I don't really feel it, since it can always be explained with the mate bond. Which wasn't even formed naturally, but by some magic.

All the different story links and characters are confusing too. Again, this screams that there has to be a second book. If not more.

But I can't find anything about the author, a book group or if there will be a second book.

On the good side, I find the story interesting and wanted to see how things will go. And solved. So, I hope there will be a second book soon.

I had been putting off reading this book for so long. A friend recommended it because I had been on a kick of supernatural romance for a while, but this one just didn’t seem like it would hit the mark.

When I started it, I really wasn’t sure if I would finish. Overall, I actually did enjoy the story and the plot. And the cliffhanger actually makes me want to read book two. However, the grammar and spelling errors are killing me! I understand it’s hard to publish, and I’m guessing this was a self-published book, but even so, there should still be some sort of editing process. There were times words were added, misspelled, or the grammar was so bad it was rough to understand.

Again, I’ll likely read book 2 just because I now HAVE to know what happens. Hopefully, the spelling and grammar issues are improved.

Toxic, toxic, toxic

This was a hard read to get through. Setting aside the myriad of spelling and grammatical errors that suggest it was never edited, the main relationship is toxic on so many levels. Honestly, the MMC in this book is giving Tamlin in Mist and Fury vibes, if he was still being painted as a good guy. Manipulative, controlling, taking advantage of the FMC's naivete, etc etc etc. No part of their story was believable or brought me in because of how overwhelmingly toxic it is, and yet the author attempts to portray it as a positive relationship. Additionally, for a book that promised spice, it was extremely tame and was borderline closed door for how little detail there is. Will definitely NOT be picking up any other book in this series or by this author.

>Book Review – Kidnapped by my Fated Mate

>I am an independent reviewer. This book really needed editing help. I found 7 errors without even trying. Errors really take a reader out of the story. The plot of this book was interesting. Bella takes a DNA test and is now on the radar of Nic, her fated mate. There is a prophesy and an interesting secondary character in Sandro. The dialogue was fun and kept the pages turning.

>I felt the romance between Nic and Bella needed more like Bella being jealous of some of his exes or something. I did feel sad that Bella had to give up her human BFF. This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 3 stars. Fix the editing errors!

Amazing story that makes you think you're seeing the movie.

I have LOVED reading this. It helped me ignore my own broken life for the time I have been reading this. The storyline and the characters were interesting and it was easy to drift into the story.

To me, the best books are those that make you feel as if you aren't just reading this story but that you are ACTUALLY seeing the movie of it. Author's who can do that are F'ing FANTASTIC!!! Ms. Adams is such an author. She goes into my top 10 favorite authors. Somewhere between Hazel Hunter, Piers Anthony's "Virtual" books, Nora Roberts and Diana Gabaldon. Thank you Elle Adams, may the Goddess Bless you for your talent. )O(

Not the best writing wise (very reminiscent of Twilight, actually) and while it felt like there was a lot of world explaining (not building as it’s set in modern day) the explanations didn’t feel like enough. Honestly, I feel like the author was trying to throw as many supernatural beings into the book as possible.

Nic is an asshole most of the time but does have his moments I guess. I feel for Bella because she’s thrust into a world she knows nothing about and no one will give her a straight answer. The revelations at the end kind of sucked me into looking for the next book, but I can’t seem to find it, so if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated!

Y’all! 😳🙄🤬 I’ve never been this infuriated by a book! This book is actually really good. Some typos and could’ve benefited from some refinement during editing but still good nevertheless. A simple yet slightly complex story of supernatural species with various worlds intertwined, a good plot line and enough dramatic tension to keep you wanting to know what’s going to happen next. And then it just left a big ass cliffhanger at the end and it doesn’t appear there will be a series to complete the story. I’m so so mad & sad because now I’m invested but may never know what happened next with these characters 😕

The story was great (4 stars); however, the editing was utter trash (0 stars). I refuse to take a star away from the author because an elementary student would have done a better job than this author’s editor did. But I do hope they are ashamed of themselves for not even proofreading the manuscript. I may read the sequel, just because I do enjoy the story. But heck, I’m tempted to become an editor just to help this author out. All the little typos definitely pulls someone out of the story. And there are HUNDREDS. I kept count for a little while but gave up when I hit 20 (at around 15% into the book).

This was a really great book, but there was a few words I had to look up because I didn’t know what it was. If you are not a magical, spirit world, fantasyland reader , but you love a good growing romance this book is a good read. Based on the cover and title, I thought there would be more spice ; I was kind of disappointed at the lack there was. Since the book was left at a cliff hanger I hope there is a future book to pick up where this left off. But, if this was a stand alone book I will have to say I’m disappointed because the characters have so much potential to be better.

Kidnapped by My Fated Mate

I really enjoyed this book from the beginning to almost in it was fantastic. It’s so full of so much things going on drama excitement, intrigue, a little bit of funny it’s very interesting to curling edge of your seat. Kind of thing what I didn’t like is the ending that sucks is bad hangers are bad and you don’t even have a number two to follow up on this one. I wanna know what happenedI’m sorry to say I won’t be reading anymore of your books even though this is a good book you keep people hanging and there’s no sequel that’s not cool

Wishing for Book 2

I looked and looked but didn’t find no book 2. In my confines at home, while nursing myself into recovery I found myself in front of this fun, exhilarating and captivating story! Did I said I would love a book 2? Well I do and many like me too.
Oh Mrs Elle Adams, please, may we inspire you to go and write more about Nick, Bell, Sandro, Kiki, Adrian, Mika and many more?
We can send some delicious chocolate for your secret stash? Thanks for a marvelous book and fun times!
Best for you and yours!

it helped put me to sleep....

For me, the first 3 chapters were, “um, yea ok, and let’s move this story along”
The story was OK, the character progression was decent, it just was a lot of story for no reason. I found myself skimming a lot of pages and flipping through chapters and feeling like I was reading a soap opera. One chapter bled into the other chapter and nothing new happened.
Once I finished the book, as a whole I can say it was, ok.

good read, a little confusing to follow from this non sci-fi gal

Sometimes it’s hard to follow because it’s a unique sci-fi book. I’m not a big sci-fi person, so it may not be so confusing for others. I still enjoyed it and if there is a book 2 I would read it. Some errors in the book , but not enough to be annoying. Not too steamy, if your looking for a hot and heavy book this isn’t it.

confused.

It’s very unclear on if there is gonna be a second book. It’s been a year since this book. It was left on a cliffhanger with hardly any questions answered. Only more questions. Decent plot line though if there are plans for more books I’ll change my review but as of right now this was unsatisfactory in the ending. I do feel like they kept trying to give it a lot of mystery. More things to solve but maybe just to much at once.

Kept Me Intested, but Predictable

I definitely wasn't bored reading this, I kept wanting to know more. However, I found it a bit predictable. Some of the qualities of their kind was confusing, too. I felt like we kept learning more aspects of the Domini that just happened to solve every problem.
The romance scenes were good! But the relationship between the main characters wasn't my favorite. I also noticed a handful of typos which combined, is why I gave this read a 3.

I came across this book by accident. I was searching for another book with a similar title and same main character name. It wasn't what I expected.
The story was good, but it was like a giant build up for no resolution. The book just ended, no questions answered, right at the conclusion. There no sign that there’s another book coming, nothing from the author, and nothing in the book. If I would’ve known this is how the book would end, I would have skipped it.

This is NOT a COMPLETE story.
Ok I like the book don’t get me wrong, but something that I despise with all my soul is a cliffhangers! And this book will leave you hanging. The plot was excellent, all the characters where amazing, I loved the FMC she was my type of girl strong and decisive HOWEVER, I won’t leave a 5 stars review when the author would not finish the story. When you finish the story come back and I will give you a full review.

Expected less, but wanted more

This book was good! I had pretty low expectations, but the story was really good - if there’s a second or third book I would read it. I wanted more *spice*, but the story made up for it. There are also a TON of spelling mistakes, missing or wrong words, but they aren’t so bad as to completely break the immersion.

Seriously horrible unfinished ending

This book was amazing and hard to put down. Then when I got toward the end.......you ended it in the middle of the story ?? And there is no mention of 2nd book. So many questions left unanswered . sorry but waste of time reading if I have to make up my own ending in my head
