Fantastic overview book on what we already know about organisational transformation. Nothing new on digital though! In fact, it's a generic hook. Would not recommend to anyone interested in learning about digital.
This is a useful and timely book, tapping into the digital transformation trend that is still flowing through companies, offering a clear guide to identify and transform as necessary into a more agile, flexible and responsive business.
Showing that change can be necessary, but not for change’s sake, the authors do a great job in introducing concepts and helping transform thinking in the process. It manages to deliver information to audiences of different levels and experiences without being overpowering or patronising in the process. It acts as both educator and mentor alike! Practical advice and real-world case studies go together with more academic and technical information and, for those who need it, there are many references to provoke further research and reading.
What is more, this book is offered at a very competitive price! There is not a lot more to say, other than you should look at this book, even if you think you already digital transformed. You may be surprised… and for those who are not yet there, it can be a little diamond in your armoury.
This book does a good job at compiling the different perspectives and angles around business transformation and more in particular the digital one. It is not a 'how do I' type of book but rather a helicopter view to help you understand what a 'digital native organisation' is and how you can get to it. There are some good frameworks in here and therefore very helpfull in setting out your journey. I particularly liked and agree with the authors on the importance of change and the people componant. Only at the end we learn that 75% of these journey's fail, so while there are bread crumbs in the book about why this is so, this is obviously the next interesting question to tackle.
Brilliant summary of many of the issues people, teams and businesses face today when trying to evolve into digital-ready businesses. Incredibly useful and very practical in terms of suggesting things to try.
