Very technical and informative, would be useful for those dealing with values in a generic way for the first time.

While not written for he South African context, the wider principles of curation and conservation towards maintenance of books, archaeology, palaeontology and associated low & high value specimens, objects and materials is commendable. Methodological approaches to inhouse valuations is extremely useful for policymakers. recommended reading for those in the conservation of art and textiles as well as in Museums. I appreciate the varied examples from varied European institutions.
