A really heartwarming Christmas story! It makes you ache and also makes you smile.
It is a Simi short. Simi is one of my favorite characters. I adore her charmingly childlike attitude, unique personality, and extravagant appearance.
It is also a Gallagher short. Ms. Kenyon has the talent to create background stories you never forget for all of her Dark-Hunters, not only in full-length novels, but in a couple of paragraphs. I really hope I will meet Jamie Gallagher sometime later in the Dark-Hunterverse.
A Dark-Hunter Christmas is a perfectly constructed short story without idle words, with some intriguing new details about Acheron, and an engaging punchline at the end.
Adorable Christmas read! Do not miss it!

"4.5 stars" A Dark-Hunter Christmas is the story of Gallagher, a relatively young Dark-Hunter (only about 100 years), who was newly introduced for this tale. Readers will get to see yet another side of Acheron and Simi that adds a bit more depth to their characters, and also get a brief visit with a bunch of the Were-Hunters from Sanctuary as well as Tabitha (Seize the Night). I don't know if Gallagher will play a part in any future Dark-Hunter stories or if he might someday get his own, but I felt like I got to know him well enough to think that he would make a good hero.
Overall, this was just a quick, heartwarming holiday-themed read that emphasizes the importance of family and how people don't necessarily have to be related by blood to consider themselves family. A Dark-Hunter Christmas is a short 16-page bonus novella that falls between Dance with the Devil and Kiss of the Night in the Dark-Hunter chronology. It can be found in the back of first editions of Dance with the Devil, and was later republished in The Dark-Hunter Companion. The novella can now be read in its entirety for free on Sherrilyn Kenyon's website.

A Dark Hunter Christmas story about Jamie Gallagher, a former Irish gangster now Dark Hunter, who is missing his family at the holidays.
It's too short to have a romance but you do get a bit emotional when Jamie is remembering his wife and family. Ash, Nick, Kyrian and Simi have some good parts as well as most of the people at the Sanctuary. Simi works her magic and teaches Jamie to open his heart for his "other" family. Love the part with the oven mitts!
Favorite line:

As we know around christmas, its all about family and love for each other. This quote says it all, even when you have lost a family member that you deeply loved.

É um livro bastante curto e que nos mostra como é o Natal de um Predador da Noite, confesso que deixei de ler desta autora porque a história era sempre a mesma, como este ano no desafio existe um livro pequeno, e este é hiper, mega pequeno, resolvi ler. É curto, deu para matar saudades de um ou outro predador da noite que já tinha lido, mas não é nada de especial...

Okay, so this is a short story about the relatively new Dark-Hunter Gallgher how is about 100 or so years old. It basically shows a little of his life as a human. We got to see how he gets himself involved with the mafia to support his family after his father's death and then how he turns into this cold person that is alone and detached from his loved once... The turning point in his life comes when he meets his wife and his the only good thing he has but at the night of the birth of his son he dies..
As you can figure out he became a Dark-Hunter to revenge his death and because he never got the chance to really be with his son.
The reason behind the short story is what comes next for him, actually and that's spending Christmas the way the other Dark-Hunters do... He got the chance to spend his with the Peltier clan(the bears) and some other creatures that just happened to be at the Sanctuary at that time..
It was a sad story but it the end it got really sweet when Simi came and started to talk about family and what it really means to have one and all that... and coming from the demon, it was precious!
As you can figure out he became a Dark-Hunter to revenge his death and because he never got the chance to really be with his son.

Gallagher es uno de los Cazadores Oscuros más jóvenes, siglo XIX, principios del XX 🤔 soy mala para los detalles 😅 la cuestión es que como humano fue un gánster y eso trajo sus consecuencias.
Esta historia, que yo ubico entre Placeres de la noche y El abrazo de la noche, sucede para las fiestas, Jamie está en un mal momento respecto a su deseo de poder estar cerca de su familia humana y encontrándose con esta familia paranormal que quiere que forme parte de ellos.
Simi juega un papel importante en esta historia y es muy lindo ver la inocencia que la caracteriza, en particular una charla que tiene con nuestro cazador me encanta 😍

Free online short story. This isn't really a romance, but it's part of a paranormal romance series. IMO, the only contribution this book makes to the series is that we learn how the Squires take care of the grieving families of the newly-made Dark Hunter. I had hoped for some fun scenes with Simi the demon child, but they were poorly written. Basically, she sermonizes about LOVE and FAMILY. As mentioned in several books in this series, there are three kinds of family.
I felt nothing for the hero, Ghallager.
There is a nice holiday gathering at Sanctuary.
Contents: a few children, no sex, no swearing, no typos.

Pero tu corazón es sorprendente. Siempre puede hacerse más grande para seguir metiendo tanta gente como necesites. Los que vivan en él, no se marcharán jamás. Es una especie de casa. Simplemente haces sitio para una persona más, y después para otra, y otra, y otra. Es como comprar en QVC, cada vez que lleno una habitación de objetos, akri me hace una habitación nueva. Siempre hay espacio para mucho más.

I do believe in Sherrilyn Kenyon's quote about family. "We have three kinds of family: 1.Those we are born to; 2.Those who are born to us; 3.And those we let into our hearts ♥”. For Gallagher that is something that he never understood up until now.
I am really hoping that we get to see more of Gallagher because I think he is a fascinating Dark-Hunter.
