After a recent breakup, the last thing Spirit Houston wants to do is face her parents, or her self-proclaimed failures, during Christmas. When her roommate insists she spends the holiday with her family back home, Spirit agrees to accompany her.
What she doesn't know is she will have to share a room with a complete stranger.
A sexy stranger.
Will they be able to coexist in the same space or drive each other nuts over the Christmas holiday?
Ever since I was a kid, I've enjoyed both reading and writing. I love to get lost in a story, whether it's by another author or one of my own. I create stories about the Black experience.
I write in multiple genres, which include stories for both children and adults.

What a cute story! I love how the title ties into it. Both Spirit and Jerrell were fleshed out characters, despite this only being a 50 page read. I felt like I knew them and it was easy to care about them and their romance. I wouldn't have minded if this was longer so we could spend even more time with them.
This was the sweetest, cutest Christmas story, and I enjoyed reading it. There was no way I was supposed to be all in my feels at 4am, but I was. I'm so glad that Spirit found her happy ending. It was unexpected, but everything happens for a reason!
This was my first time reading Lesanda Moore's story which I got during this month's Black Readers Appreciation Event held earlier in November.
At 52 pages, this cute Christmas romance with Spirit and Jerell goes rather quickly but it is fleshed out enough so readers don't feel cheated. If I'm being honest, I would have loved to read another three or four chapters more about Spirit and Jerell.
The pair meet when Spirit accepts her room mate's Tonya's invitation to spend Christmas with her family. Spirit didn't want to go to her parents' house following her break up with her boyfriend and Tonya, Jerell's sister didn't want her to be alone.
Jerell, who spends a lot of time on the road as a result of his photography career, has sworn off relationships after the last one ended in a broken engagement and left him with some hefty bills.
Neither of them are looking for love but it finds them. I'm all for pursuing a connection when it's there to see how far it can go. I was glad that both of them were willing to step out from under the cloud of failed relationships which takes courage.
A Little Holiday Spirit has warmth and lots of banter especially between the parents. It's about family, being together for the holiday, games, and food, things that lots of families look forward to around holidays.
Spirit is dealing with a break-up and the last thing she wants is to face her parents over the holidays. Enter her best friend, who insists Spirit come home with her. But her best friend's brother Jerell is coming home too. Can two people who've sworn off love deny their attraction?
I liked this a lot. It was just enough holiday flirting and banter, and passion. The romance was in the air. I love that Jerell was a nomad, embracing his life and some of that rubbed off on Spirit. But I also loved that she made him appreciate the good things that can happen when you stand still. Cute holiday read.
The story is about stepping out of your comfort zone and trying new things to discover yourself. Both characters were unlucky with love and needed to find themselves before they could commit to another relationship. They found each other in the process
This was a quick holiday romance that got straight to the point. I enjoyed this story, especially the razzle dazzle at the end. It would be nice to have a quick follow-up about them. Wishful thinking, but again, I enjoyed this short holiday romance.
This was a cute short story. I would have like to get a little bit more of these two but it was still a good read. The ending felt like more of a happy for now, but I’m okay with that.
I like a lil instant romance and this is exactly that! I wanted a lil bit more back history of spirit and Jerrell. Looking forward to reading other books by this author! Check it out.
Listen Linda, K. great story, strong start and strong finish. I loved it. I have loved everything I've read by this author and am looking forward to future projects.
I don’t mind a happy for now but i didn’t really feel any chemistry between the two mains. Attraction sure but they seemed like they are at very different places in their lives. So the ending didn’t feel, right.
