Aghh, I don't want to even think for one more minute about this book 😭😐🫣😂. I couldn't finish, dnf at 70%, but yeah, my time was spent on this book, so I marked it as read 🥺🤷♀️.
▫️The writing style is not for me. ▫️The plot (what plot, hehe) is all over the place. ▫️The spicy scenes are so, soooo badly written, and the terminology used is quite cringe. I just couldn't continue.
I have a few books from this series grabbed as freebies on Amazon, but I'm not going to read them because it's pure torture. 🥺😬
Sadly, the author needs to get out of her preteens and maybe learn how to write. This was trash. It took me longer to write the review than it did to DNF. Save your time and pass on this juvenile mishap.
I think I need like a Geo political lesson of this town city state I don’t fucking know oh, so they’re like isolated right so they have their own like kingdom, royal kingdom I forgot the word it’s not oligarchy, but you know what I mean I would like to take a history class on this because I don’t get it like where the fuck y’all come from and that sounds very racist from me but like can you be racist towards werewolf’s I think werewolves have their own races inside. Also are the werewolves like an analogy for racism. This is starting to make sense now I think it’s all a big analogy. Or I’m thinking too much into it. Follow-up question again I asked where does the fruit said to come from that really doesn’t make any sense to me like why do they smell like peaches? And are we gonna get more details with a curse because I felt a little sped up. I want to go more into lore like I don’t really care they mating or whatever like I’m not really into that. I’m more into the actual lore of this island so I need more like I need a whole history class. I think I’m starting to get it but I think I might not also Vanessa’s a bitch and you’re just gonna give her like a follow up book I don’t wanna read the book. But I’m gonna read the book because she was in the other book and she seemed normal, so did she just go crazy for dick was she dickmatized I think these are all my thoughts for the book still confused but I’m kind of rocking with it I think
This was such a fun read I loved the banter between mates/ husbands. Well that’s not true I hated one of them but you will have to read why he was awful! The Princess gets in to this shot gun wedding to save her friends and people but finds true happiness. I had so much fun reading this and would recommend it!
⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 Princess for the Pack follows Princess Lyra, who is forced into an arranged marriage with two alphas to save her people. This story combines a marriage of convenience with fated mates and steamy romance. Kodan, the dominant pack leader, has intense chemistry with Lyra. The plot’s intrigue lies in the power struggle and protection, but the predictability of the tropes may not satisfy readers looking for more surprises.
I tried. I really tried. The previous book was better, and I thought, maybe the author is developing the writing more, and maybe book three will be better than the first two. But this book crashed and burned. The writing was like a group project where nobody talked to each other, and they just smashed all together an hour before having to hand it in. I've read better written stories in those shady pay per chapter apps. There was an attempt at an overarching plot, but it was literally forgotten in the next paragraph. Seriously. Don't even bother.
This book series needs an editor! Poorly constructed sentences and terrible grammar. The author clearly doesn’t make notes of what happens in scenes throughout her books. So many inconsistencies. 3rd times a charm, I’m done reading these or anything by this author.
Princess for the Pack, Book 3 of the Howl's Edge Island series, was about 19-year-old Lyra, the Omega Princess of the Royal Pack, Kodan, the Sigma leader of the Wild Wolfmen Pack (a half-wolf, half-human pack), Voss, the second-in-command Alpha, and 39-year-old Luke, Lyra's Alpha bodyguard.
Two months after King Saku, one of Lyra's fathers and leader of the Royal Pack, died, the remaining Alphas decided it was time for them to find a new mate since Lyra's mother, their current mate and Queen, could no longer bear children. Two months later, Vanessa, the new Omega of the pack, was pregnant. The King and other leaders of the pack determined it was time to marry Lyra off to a pack of her own., although she resisted at every turn, much to their frustration.
After her latest proposal rejection, she was at a local cafe with several of her friends and her bodyguard when a rogue pack began attacking those outside the building. When they broke into the cafe after the owner had tried to barricade the door, her bodyguard attempted to protect her with his body. But when her cousin and other friends were in danger of being hurt, Lyra tried to intervene on their behalf. The Wild Wolfmen pack surrounded her and her bodyguard, securing them as their leader entered the cafe, who recognized her on sight. When the leader looked as if he would put an end to her cousin, Lyra said she would do anything to protect her and their pack. She asked if they needed money, but he declined the offer. Instead, he demanded that she marry him and Voss i order to secure the safety of their pack from the Royal Pack ever attacking them again. Seeing that her cousin was close to dying, she agreed.
Lyra took the leaders to her fathers, who weren't happy but granted the marriage. Lyra had only one request, which was for her bodyguard, Luke, to go with her to their home. Kodan agreed, but he also had a stipulation. Since she would not be allowed in the presence of a man she wasn't married to, Luke would have to marry her along with Kodan and Voss. Once again, Lyra agreed.
Since the leaders of the the Royal Pack agreed to the marriage, the ceremony was scheduled fo the same night. The only one of them that was hesitant regarding the union was Voss. He felt as if it were a tactical error on Kodan's part, and he worried that the marriage would make them vulnerable to Lyra's fathers. He also had no respect for Omegas, and especially not for Lyra.
Once the ceremony was over, the newly minted pack readied themselves to return to the mountains where the Wild Wolfmen pack resided. After the two-hour trip ended at her new home, Lyra was greeted with a terrifying sight. The Wolfmen pack was almost feral at their first glimpse of her, and when Kodan explained that his people believed she was their new Omega sacrifice, she finally began to panic. However, as Luke stood guard, Voss and Kodan stood between them and the crowd. Kodan let them know she was his and not up for sacrifice. The crowd was not happy.
This book had the usual angst, drama, and emotional rollercoaster of emotional twists and turns. But it also had some major plot twists that were both surprising and at the same time, expected. However, there was one aspect of the plot that, while easily figured out, was a bit disappointing that the author took it down that fairytale path.
All of the characters were well-developed and mature, including the FMC, who was the youngest. The author only hinted at the age of one male character (Luke was "almost 40), and revealed the age of another MMC (he was 34). The rest were older, but the exact ages weren't told.
There were quite a few glaringly obvious grammatical errors, and they all created a distraction when they were made. But even with those, the book still earned a three-star rating. I wouldn't say it deserved anything higher as it had a somewhat juvenile tone to the whole thing, and some unresolved issues were disappointing. I suspect some of them will be taken care of in an upcoming story or two.
So.BAD!!! Somehow each book manages to be even more poorly written than the last. Inconsistent characters, EXCESSIVE redundancy (it occurs throughout the book, but for funsies,at approxiamtely 65%,about 7 words are use 3-4 times each. Think grasp/grasp/grasp-massage/massage/massage/massage-leaned/leaned/leaned--you get the picture) One amazing sentence reads as follows " he was huge, and his p3nis hung between his legs". I'm sorry,is there another place a p3nis can be located?!? His forearm, maybe?!? Character development was terrible. Are her dads good dads/good guys or terrible dads/the bad guys? Is her mom a b1tch or not? What is vanessa's deal? What was voss'deal?!?! What IS a sigma? Why aren't they accepted in society? Why are the wild wolfpeople so "uncivilized"? They're just howl's end people. What IS the deal with howl's end? It's like modern medieval atlantis. Where does it exist? North america is referenced in previous books, but HE isn't in north america.. K lives in rundown, dirty stone tower, yet sleek coffee shops and the internet exist where lyra lives. His was a level of hero poverty i haven't read since jude devereaux. And a legitimately poor hero is an unsexy hero. Eveything in this book was rushed and dragged on at the same time. The plot was tripolar. One second it was this, another second it was that, then you blinked and it was something else. And not in a good, keep -you-on -your-toes way. In a horrible,"spitballing -and- just- putting- it -on- paper- and- never -going -back- to- clean- it-up -or- connect -it" way. Have you ever see cruddy AI art? Like people with 3 fingers...or eight,4 eyes or one....this book read like it was badly AI generated. It was not good. My opinions only. Feel free to read and form your own. But don't say you weren't warned....
Lyra is a princess from the Royal Pack. Even though she's an omega, she never wanted to marry an alpha pack, much less a sigma and his pack. But to save her people, she agrees to marry Kodan, the leader of the Wild Wolfmen. Sigmas and the Wild Wolfmen are treated as outcasts. Kodan wants to protect his people from the Royal Pack. He never thought that the spoiled princess would mean more to him than just a marriage of convenience. Will Lyra survive being married to a sigma and his pack? The Wild Wolfmen want her to be the yearly omega sacrifice. Will she be sacrificed or will someone save her?
This is book three in the Howl's Edge Island: Omega For The Pack series. It can be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading the previous books in the series. I read the fourth book first but plan on reading book one next. I really enjoyed reading this book. I liked Lyra's growth from the beginning to the end of the book.
Finally, a book the has broken my slump! what a trainwreck
I have not been able to finish a book in months, and Princes for the pact is my first - yay…….
Look, the only reason I kept reading is because I could see it would take me less than 2 hours, it’s raining out, I was bored and I honestly wanted to see how much of a trainwreck this would become - the start showed next to no promise, everything was rushed, nothing made sense but was also super predictable at the same time - the writing does NOT get better, the smut does not become more realistic, the characters never develop, the plot is unoriginal but also doesn’t resolve and so on.
The only consistency is the lack of substance and consistency…
wow, I have read AI books that made more sense - this one actually reads like an AI book, but worse? I have no idea how there are positive reviews - this is quite honestly the worst KU book I’ve read…. And I’ve read some doozies-
- this gave me beauty and the beast vibes - it wasn’t as spicy as the past 2 but I liked they - it was a princess x her bodyguard & like a leader of an alpha pack & welll his friend but like his friend tries to kill her . ( they all get married btw) - not like poly but to her . Anywyas this is like a super fast book everything happens in like maybe 2 weeks altogether . I liked it though it was just for the vibes book . The beast is the guy that the other guy Vess I think is tries to get the fmc killed by .( he was a wolf by force because of a curse on him and his people ) anyways so she frees the beast. And the gets saved . But overall like she ends up getting kidnapped again by that man and he again tries to get the beats to kill her . But THE BEAST KILLS HIM AND BITES HIS HEAD OFF ( WHICH MADE ME LAUGH) and oh yeah the beast turns back into a man and becomes the princesses mate . - this was like a book you don’t have to think much to read but it was enjoyable.
Is the writing good in any of these books absolutely not but THEY ARE THE KIND OF BOOKS YOU READ BECAUSE YOU WANT SOMETHING SHORT AND QUICK
This was shorter and the other 2 I read ( Like under 200 pages)

Lyra, an omega princess with the Royal Pack, agrees to marry the leader of the Wild Wolfmen, sigma Kodan, and his second-in-command, alpha Voss, in a bid to save her people from violence. Luke, her bodyguard, insists on coming but Kodan will only allow that if Luke also becomes her husband. Newly married, Lyra finds that the Wild Wolfen live in poverty and are all somewhat feral, even in their communication. Things seem to be progressing in her marriage, though there is the worrisome yearly omega sacrifice and she’s the only omega around. Lots of action and adventure, hot and steamy action, betrayals, and more in this Omegaverse RH romance with a side of mystery. Nice set-up for the next book in the series too.
Ehh, the writing in this was honestly pretty terrible. It seemed like a bad quizilla story, just very half-baked in terms of execution. Like, the premise and everything was fine, but the book was so bare bones that the fast pacing made me feel like I was skim reading an outline or version of the book before the author went back and fleshed out the story/characters. Also, it didn't help that the love interests came off as super creepy to me. Luke was okay until the very first chapter in his POV where you got to see his inner thoughts about the protagonist. The worst though was Kodan, whose every line of dialogue left me feeling really grossed out. I was just glad when it was all over and I could move onto something else.
Ok so I try not to leave bad reviews but oh man. I was really generous with 2 stars. This may be someones cup of tea but it sure ain't mine. It was like a tween or teen tried to write an RH/Shifter/ Beauty and the Beast/ cult / dark romance book. It was rushed and just like not right. I saw a TT vid with this book you know the ones where it has a book in the vid but the like goes to one of those stupid apps with a different book. Yeah one of those. So I googled for the real book. This was it I thought oh this is gonna be good. Nope not good. The girl is just not intelligent the guys are 15-20 years older then her. But yeah so there's my review I just can't figure out what else to say
I really liked this one, you take a spoiled princess who has more to her than meets the eye and you throw in a savage outcast and put them together and you have a tale of romance. The MMC has a brother who has been cursed and unbeknownst to him, his new bride is about to be sacrificed to him by someone he trusts. Only he had nothing to worry about, because his new princess bride is special and can see through the curse and see the remaining good in the beast after all. Just like the others, I loved the character build up, the story and the overall writing. While they are not long books, they pack a story!
Very exciting and fun storyline. The characters were all relatable since the book is written from every one of the main protagonists' point of view. I love Lyra's strong personality and stubbornness, but also her weaknesses and genuine emotions toward the men in her life. I loved Luke from the start and his strength and loyalty to the princess, but I ended falling for Kodan, the antihero and rough lone wolf who goes from enemy to lover. Great reverse harem story, many super HOT scenes and a fast paced.
Princess Lyra agrees to marry Kodan as long as her people are safe! This is a marriage to save her people, and eventually, it turns to a love story.
Her bodyguard ends up as one of her husband's because her father's wanted him with her. Kodan said she won't be around other men besides her husband's. Turns out Luke, her bodyguard, has been loving her in secret. He is all too happy to marry Lyra.
She gets betrayed after she moves to the mountain. She also finds another mate after a bunch of drama happens.
Book 3 was giving marriage of convenience with a dash of enemies to lovers. Following Lyra, princess of the Royal Pack and her new found pack to protect her people. This one felt moderately paced, not too fast and it offered the opportunity for a bit of a slow burn to take place amongst the pack mates. Quite a few twists thrown in too that didn’t feel rushed and progressed the story nicely. Overall liked the vibe of this book and can’t wait to start the next one!
I just read books 1-3 back to back. I wanted to like them. And I guess I did, insofar as you'd like a dimestore novella or a 25c comic book.
The best way to describe these little diversions is to think of AO3 or watttpad and the baby writers with their early works. The plots are simple, the dialogue is basic & the character development is primitive.
I may dip back into the remainder of the series to see if there's growth on the writer's part but in truth, I'll probably go back to AO3 to support emerging writers on that platform.
I have read this series out of order so I knew what was gonna happen towards the end I just couldn’t remember who exactly was the bad guy tho it didn’t take long to put it together. I think out of the whole series this is my favorite. Seth was such a pleasant surprise and at their first encounter I wanted him to be her mate. One thing that got me is I excepted more to come out with the royal pack and Seth but I guess the princess was worth staying silent.
This series is hot! I would suggest a proof read of this book. There were several times the POV would switch suddenly and then go back without the header of the new POV. A few too many deus ex machinas for me in this book. The first two had less which allowed more believable situations. There were some inconsistencies as well when the knot happens and doesn't happen. The storyline is great, and the spicy scenes are even better though. Definitely hooked now.
