Lou Cadle grew up in Tornado Alley near the New Madrid fault, was in San Francisco's 1989 earthquake, watched minor eruptions of Mt. St. Helens from close up, and hiked several times over Kilauea's active lava flows. Cadle currently lives in haboob country.

LOU CADLE HAS ADDED ANOTHER AWESOME BOOK TO HIS RESUME!!!!

Glenn Stevens an Epediotomologist from the CDC in Atlanta gets sent to New Jersey to check out a new strain of flu that looks to be leaving bodies in its wake. What Glenn does find is that it's more than the flu and the death rate is 100%. With more people getting sicker and dying every day, Glenn feels he is in way over his head and unsure that he can find a cause or a cure. Lou Cadle has written one great book and with it keeps us all on the edge of our seats. With a story that could be plucked out of the headlines this is one book that everyone should check out and read. Lou Cadle has just added another awesome book to his list of published books and I'm betting there are more to come.

I love all things Lou Cadle and this book is another winner to me.
Imagine if someone could get hold of an infectious disease, flu, and ramp it up and spread it to the populace. Imagine it has a very high mortality rate. The CDC has to find who spread it and may do more damage by destroying any vaccine to cure it. Well, this is the scary premise of this story.
The it COULD happen and hope it never does. I love the story and the characters are so true to life. Love the male and female leads and the love angle with them.

I wish more people read Lou Cadles books. Grab this one, get a beer, it is almost summer and begin. I promise you won't regret it.

Hopefully this isn't a glimse into our future whether by accident or on purpose. For those who aren't iterested in science or how a pandemic can begins this would could appear to drag. It was fascinating to view how different government agencies might operate in face of a terrorist act resulting in a pandemic. This author us a pleasure to read.

It took me a bit to get into this authors style, and I don't know if I'll read any more of his books. It's a very fact-focused approach, with little in the way of description or emotion. There was a bit of repetition that irked me, but overall it was a good example of the genre. The pace and plot flowed in a way I expect, it was a nice bit of escapism.

From start to finish I was hooked. The story was very interesting and I felt for the victims in the book. Loved the down to earth main characters. Highly recommend, a wonderful read.

I love reading works by this author. He has very well developed characters, fast and exciting action, and believable plots. This author seems to really do his homework! I highly recommend if you enjoy apocalyptic drama.

This was an excellent book. I really like the detail that this author has and while I don't know if this is really how the CDC works, this seemed very realistic. All of the various things you have to worry about and take into account when trying to get a handle on an unknown disease was fascinating. All of the characters were good and some of the supporting ones were very capable, instead of the ineptitude that this genre often has. None of their strength diminished the main character at all. This book made me want to run out an buy a mask just in case.

How did I forget to review this?!

I just finished reading this book for second time and it was a freaking awesome read. Again. I can't believe I didn't review it the first time around! I was sure I had. So, I'm just going to stick to saying that this was an amazingly entertaining book both times. Well worth your money and time!
