Eveline is dead - the doctor says so. So how can she hear the sound of her mother's grief, see the stricken faces of the mourners at her funeral and, as the coffin lid closes, feel terror at the endless horror that Adrien Ravel has in store for her.
The story of this book was actually pretty nice and entertaining. It's mainly about voodoo and mind control and that kinda stuff. The writing did bug me every once in a while though. A lot of it was kind of repetitive, which becomes quite noticeable when it's such a short book. Given the fact that it's such a short book, it also felt a bit rushed. So many significant people of the story died in the blink of an eye which felt kind of weird at times, but maybe that's just my opinion. I feel like I would've liked it more if the book was a bit longer and elaborate, but I enjoyed it nonetheless!
