Adventures in Consciousness: An Introduction to Aspect Psychology

Rate this book
In this new edition of her 1978 "Adventures In Consciousness", Roberts sets out to account for an entire range of nonscientific phenomena (events for which science has found no official proof). What emerges is Roberts' theory of Aspect Psychology: nothing less than a revolutionary view of the human personality. Taking up where Seth left off, "Adventures In Consciousness" encompasses and explains the full, incredibly versatile, multi-dimensional range of the normal human psyche.

The first half of this book a biographical excerpt of Jane Roberts life, which is interesting if you want to learn about the person behind Seth. I felt it gave me some useful context. However what really interested me was the second half of the book, where Roberts discusses aspect psychology and explores the topic of space/time and how a person's identity creates possibilities. Given that a lot of what she shares is similar to my own work on the topic, I wish I'd read this book years ago, but for anyone reading this book it'll provide some intriguing ideas to help you understand identity and space/time and how they fit together.

Another great book by Jane Roberts. I still recommend Seth's books "Nature of Personal Reality" and "Seth Speaks" before any other books out there (both fantastic listens on Audible), but it is an interesting experience reading one of Jane's books, and not Seth's - both are through/by Jane Roberts of course though.

It's amazing to me how much material Jane came up with to write about through her daily experiences, and I found myself having to really go slow reading her books. A few pages or so at a time and put the book down for the night or some days even. Jane lived some strange experiences that sound a lot to me like hallucinations but a lot can be learned through her transcendent lifetime.

This is a non-fiction about the personal perspectives of Jane Roberts as her ego, subconscious and oversoul takes her through a life of an explorer of the inner world.
The way Seth explains it, our physical senses perceive the physical framework which is somewhat of a trick upon the soul-fragment. Fragment of what soul? The spiritual soul of the source-Self. Upon being born into the physical framework, a fresh fragment of a much more knowledgeable soul is given independence as an individual. All-That-Is creates and maintains our physical framework continuously. There are other frameworks to stabilize a fresh fragment and ours happens to be the one that you unconsciously desired to attempt to fallow your blueprint. All blueprints are designed to lead you towards successful growth... you can go beyond the original design or like this probabilities mystery school Cult... you can fall short of the design.
Jane Roberts attempts to put into perspective how the thUgtopian's psychology falls short of what is really is to be a soul-fragment within our species. The secret-societies began invading Janes class-rooms and home during the 1970's as she attempted to keep their ideology out of her daily life. This was a difficult task because the Mystery School Cult claimed this "psychic-realm" of society to be their... and She and Seth bursted into their facade and began to rip it to pieces with the knowledge and abilities of Seth to guide her.
It should not come as a surprise that Jane die within the grasp of the Cult's "medical Mafia" whom hide in the shadows of every hospital with wounds that would not heal. Dr. Rauni Kilde exposed that brain-interfaces were used upon the general public for experimentation since 1974. Jane may have also been covertly brainchip so the thUgtopian could study just what part of the brain was bridging Seth into this framework. If they did brainchip her, then they would try to convince her to want to die. Remember, Seth broke through to this framework because the thUgtopians are taking it over and will destroy our species in this probability through greed and self-righteousness.
As you read this book, keep in mind that jane was having thUgs with Mystery School ideology constantly trying to influence her thinking to become more like theirs.

While this book may seem outlandish at times, Author Jane Roberts really dives deep into some of my favorite subject matter, perception, the psyche, space and time, and reincarnation. Towards the end of the book is when the information Roberts offers the reader gets really interesting. She breaks down the psyche into aspect selves and with the help of several diagrams explain how your consciousness exists and how we perceive reality in several different dimensions. Anyone interested in reading Books such as psychology, the mind, or space and time relationships will love this book. The main aspect of this reading that made me give it five stars was the fact that it made me question my existence and forced me to realize how little we know about our own consciousness and how little we take the time to truly explore the depths of our psyche. I believe these are extremely important questions and realizations to ponder if our society ever wants to make a meaningful step towards a long overdue collective human evolution.

was OK, but she seems to strugle with her psychism...even though she was very deep into it...
