Charles Fuge has been writing and illustrating since 1988. Published while he was in art school, his first picture book won the Mother Goose Award for best newcomer to children's books. He lives in England with his partner, Sarah, and their son, Ollie.

I stumbled across this at a used bookstore; between my love of insects and the magnificent illustrations I had to bring this home to add to the collection of books I keep on hand for pint-sized visitors.

This book is really quite adorable and actually had me feeling sad for the normally detested pesky wasp.
