A Library Journal Self-e Select TitlePart-time musician and single mom, Abby Ericksen, just quit her job to escape a boss who made unwelcome advances. The same day, her deceitful ex-husband arrives demanding custody of their daughter. Another man is the LAST thing on Abby's mind...when she meets the man she can't resist.Duncan MacLeod needs a wife. The old family covenant requires that his wife-to-be ask him to marry. Covenant or not, Duncan is convinced that Abby is that woman. Can he overcome her distrust and prove his love is real? Real enough that she can trust him? Real enough that she will propose to him?
My favorite parts of the story involved some of the Scottish history. Duncan and Abbey are an unlikely match but the author makes it work. There were many heartwarming moments between Abbey and her daughter Cloe.
Part-time musician Abbey Ericksen needs a job. Local charter-boat magnate Duncan MacLeod needs a wife. Shortly after Abbey starts working at MacLeod Tours, Duncan decides that Abbey is the woman for him. How can he overcome her reservations and distrust to build a path of healing for both of them?
This is a sweet book, well written with good characters. Liked how faith was a strong guide for its characters. You could let your daughters read this romance.
