Thank the story gods there’s a sequel!
This is a group of six short stories, any of which could stand alone, but which are like six episodes of a tv series culminating in a season finale that makes you count the days till the new season premiere. At least, that was my reaction. Some stories are better than others, and that’s what became of the fifth star in my rating. The fourth story is my favorite. It gives the feeling of an NCIS episode, if NCIS dealt with the supernatural.
I do highly recommend this book, and am so glad there’s a sequel already waiting for me to sink my claws and teeth into!
