This was a pretty good and very sexy, easy read. The book consists of two related stories about two women friends working at the same large security company (Turner Industries), each with their own emotional, abusive, baggage to deal with, and both (claiming to be) off men like a dirty shirt.
In Two Sighted, beautiful redheaded 30 year old Aislinn is a personal assistant to the head of the company, 32 year old former Navy SEAL Kyle Turner. Aislinn is a clairvoyant, and she has a vision where she 'sees' her boss's death. She needs to somehow warn him, but will he believe her?
Due to a past with a horrible, abusive ex (who she is on the run from), Aislinn really doesn't want anything to do with men again. So why is she attracted to her boss? Is it his gorgeous blond good looks, his self confidence, or that protective alpha quality he exudes that makes her feel safe?
Kyle wants Aislinn, has wanted her ever since she walked into his office 6 months ago. He's aware of everything about her past, knows that she doesn't get attached to people since she changes jobs and cities every 8 months or so in order to avoid her stalker-ish ex, and knows about her special 'abilities'. Kyle's been without a woman for 6 months--ever since he's laid eyes on Aislinn--and figures it's time to make her his. Will she put her trust in him to protect her from her ex and find the strength to stop running? Will she give the relationship he's certain she wants a chance? Will she trust that he can protect himself from any threats against his life?
In The Strength Of Three, Aislinn's co-worker and friend Christina has no desire for a man in her life. Chris comes from a dysfunctional family complete with a mean, abusive drunken father, a mother who puts up with his 'beatings', and a younger brother who's heading down the same abusive and drunken path as his father. So with her bad experiences with the men in her past, why is she interested in not one, but two of her sexy bosses?
Former SEALs Jon and TJ are partners with their buddy Kyle in Turner Industries. They're also partners in 'sharing' their women. The two men are used to getting what they want, and they have their eye on the often prickly Chris. She may say she's not interested, but they think otherwise. They know all about her past, and while it may pose a challenge, they're confident in their powers of seduction. Will she trust them enough to let them both into her life, and to trust them to not run away from the problems her abusive family brings?
Both of these stories were smokin' hot. The men were protective alphas to the max, complete with some pretty forceful dialogue when it came to telling their woman just what they planned to do with them. Of course that didn't always go over so well, because each woman had a certain stubborness and had some bad experience with men. But the men never did anything the women didn't want. And it turned out they wanted plenty!
If you're looking for a couple of easy to read, fast paced erotic stories, check this book out. Each has a touch of suspense, and plenty of hot lovin'. Enjoy! 4 stars.

"Finding Strength" by Annmarie McKenna contains two connected stories. Both are excellent and well-worth the cost of the book. I first read McKenna via e-books, but am so glad that I can now have her stories in print copy to put on my keeper shelf.
Two Sighted is about Aislinn who has visions. She's also on the run from her wacko ex. She doesn't usually stay in one place too long, but she's felt so safe in this job...then she gets a vision of her boss fighting for his life, in his boxers! She can't just do nothing, but how to let him know without knowing the information came in a vision?

In Finding Strength, there are two short stories, both written by Annmarie McKenna, starring Aislinn and Christina. They are friends who work in a large security firm and are both on the run, from themselves and some pretty dangerous men in their lives.
Two Sighted: In this short story, Aislinn Campbell is on the run from an abusive and controlling ex. She's been working at Turner Industries as the PA for Kyle Turner and is studiously trying to keep her head down. Kyle Turner has noticed her from the very beginning though. Being ex Special Forces and in the security business, he's got the access to delve deep into Aislinn's background and after learning of her abusive ex, does whatever he can to make her life a little safer. He knows she's got a set pattern of running away after about eight months and she's already been with him as his PA for six months. Time is running out for Kyle and after waiting as patiently as he can, he decides it's time to make her his. Kyle is very gentle and unassuming with Aislinn, while also being very much in control. He's sensitive to the fact Aislinn doesn't have good memories of men or their desires and introduces her slowly to him. He's not very dominant with her, he's very tender and I enjoyed that. Not every guy has to be a hair pulling sexual dominant in bed. There's a little subplot with the fact Aislinn is clairvoyant and can 'see' an attack on Kyle. Kyle is accepting of her talents and takes her warnings seriously, but it only increases his protectiveness towards her.
The Strength Of Three: This story stars Christina, the friend of Aislinn. She's running from an abusive father and a brother whose turning into her worst nightmare. Christina is looking and hoping for a relationship but at the same time is afraid of men. Seeing a man drunk and tipsy reminds her too much of her father and his rages. TJ and Jon see Christina while hanging out at Turner Industries and know she's the one to complete them. They begin a slow campaign to get her used to the idea of them. They take their time but after an employee party, the men decide enough is enough and manage to coax Chris into spending the weekend with them, with helpful insistence from Aislinn. The men haven't even left the parking lot before they start their heated assault on Chris, overwhelm her with their kisses and caresses. Before Chris knows what's happening, she's enjoying every bit of their attentions and their gentle but unyielding determination. TJ is more dominant than Jon, and he shows her his mastery during one hot car ride. Jon has his turn next before all three of them adjourn to the bedroom. TJ and Jon are masterful but they are still very sensitive to Chris and her uncertainties. Just when things are going perfect, her family life comes screeching to the forefront, but this time she's got two loving, ex Special Forces by her side. With them with her, she's able to face a death in the family and her father and brother.
I really like Annmarie McKenna's stories. They are erotic and steamy, without crossing into smut. Her men are the type of heroes you know you are safe with. You can experiment with them, discover different facets of yourself, all while knowing they are there to catch you. They are the perfect comination of alpha male, protector and lover that every woman wishes she had.

I found myself laughing several times although it is not a comedy. It’s hot, erotic sex among two males and one female.
A subplot involves her abusive and alcoholic father and brother. Chris believes her father killed her mother by pushing her down the stairs.

I read both of the stories as ebooks and liked them well enough to get the paper copy which about says it all. Hot, well written, suspenseful plots, engaging characters - I enjoyed both stories. There's a touch of the paranormal in the first story and menage sex in the second.

Two short books with the second book following characters that you meet in the first one. Enjoyed both stories as enough depth of character was done that drew you in and made you care about the outcome of their story. Some twist and turns along the way with a lot of sex. Did like the humor in the stories. Would recommend and read again.

This is a hot and passionate book and love the stregnth in the characters. Aislinn is a strong woman who has a traumatic past which keeps catching up with her and Kyle, a who knows what her wants and how he's going to get it. Chris is so unsure of her body, she knows what she wants but is to scared to herself to admit it and then there's T.J and Jon, the two men who can give her everything she wants of she just opens up and lets them show her how good they can ll be together. These are two hot stories which will have you begging for so much more. Fantastic!!

3 1/2 stars. Two stories about friends Aislynn Campbell and Christina Marshall. Each has her own burdens to bear but their lives are about to change due to Kyle Turner III and his friends TJ McFee and Jonathan Winslow. All three men are ex-military and Kyle intends to put an end to Aislynn's flight from her abusive ex while TJ and Jonathan intend to convince Christina that they are both going to be in her life permanently no matter what kind of baggage she is carrying around. Nice sensual scenes, stories are a little constricted by the limitations of length.

Hot and sexy? Sure. But other than that, this isn't a very entertaining book. I was disappointed by how quickly the love interests got together in each story. I wanted much more relationship building -- more drama and developing tension between characters. I feel like I read this in twenty minutes, and never once felt more than mildly interested. Even the spicy scenes fell flat because there wasn't enough (forgive the pun) foreplay. I would really like to see both stories expanded into full-length novels and see what happens then.

Although I consider this a typical erotic type book. I really enjoyed the characters and the story. I did wish they spent some time building the characters backgrounds, mainly of the heroes. However, all-n-all, I found the book very entertaining.

Reading these two stories by McKenna was a good way to heat up this winter day. I wasn't that impressed since the stories were short they had to be straight to the point. Was certainly steamy though so was an enjoyable read.
