This book is a great introduction to Metaphysics. I happen to know the author who is none other than my best friend's mother and I had the opportunity to sit down with her and talk about her work. It still surprises me how a doctor by profession would belive in metaphysics, spiritualism, Reincarnation, and stuff like that. But throughout our discussion, I could understand why she decided to write this. I'm not saying I believe in stuff like this, but I'm not saying I don't believe it also because there are some things that happen in nature which our current defined laws can't explain at all without any logic but things like that do happen. Maybe someday an Einstein-like person might figure this all out or Maybe there do exits an astral world through our consciousness in another dimension.

Interesting and indepth analysis of the paranormal types

I liked the way the author has documented everything about the paranormal juxtaposing it with scientific findings. She/He has collated all this info very systematically, categorized it in right buckets and gone about explaining each very thoroughly with examples, with research, with analysis.

Though the matter could be considered dry, it is one of the few books i finished in a few days end to end. Perhaps my interest was piqued in knowing more with every chapter.

It is 25 years of research put together in these pages and well worth that effort for everyone who can now benefit from it.

This book also answered many of the questions i had in mind about telekinesis, ESP, psychics etc. Having read this in such a cut-and-dry narrative also helped to some extent overcome the fear of the unknown esp ghosts etc. Conceptual understanding makes it easier to accept the paranormal as part of the whole existence/creation.

Many thanks to the author for penning down her research and sharing relevant examples along with it.

One star less? For Editing and language. Some scope for betterment there. :)

Matter of fact is that an opthalmologist mam has written this book...
Somehow I couldnt agree to certain things being a doctor myself rather being very scientific and level-headed though she has emphasized on certain facts that cant be reasoned yet it was hard to believe...

A deeply engaging exploration of the paranormal through structure and clarity.

Paranormal Experiences by Dr. Mehra Shrikhande presents a comprehensive and well-organized look into a subject often approached with ambiguity. What stands out immediately is the clarity with which complex phenomena are explained, supported by thoughtful structure and relevant references.

The book covers a wide spectrum—from astral experiences and near-death phenomena to reincarnation and extra sensory perception—while maintaining a balance between experiential insight and analytical presentation. Each chapter builds progressively, making the subject both accessible and engaging.

What makes this work particularly compelling is its ability to bring coherence to a field that often feels fragmented. It invites the reader not just to observe, but to reflect and connect.

A fascinating and immersive read for those interested in understanding the deeper dimensions of human experience.
