This is a book that every serious sadhak or spiritual aspirant should read, at least, once. It has great many pieces of valuable advice for one's spiritual progress. The following topics have been very nicely dealt with by Swami Muktananda, one of the greatest mahatmas and saints who lived in the 20th century:

1. Spiritual discipline
2. Right of Private Defence
3. Bringing up Children
4. Marriage
5. Conjugal Relationship
6. Reforming the World
7. Spiritual Practice
8. Attitude towards the World

Overall, I really did like this book. Overall, I am still not enamored of having a single human be a guru - but I do like the idea of looking for the Divine in yourself and everything else for that matter. And loving everything because you recognize it as part of the whole. Not a bad perspective.
