This volume explores key aspects of the emerging international security environment to inform debates about the future of U.S. defense strategy, the changing nature of warfare, and the evolution of American security policy at the start of the twenty-first century. Over twenty chapters provide interdisciplinary perspectives on U.S. national security affairs, focusing on key dimensions of what have been described as hybrid threats that increasingly involve transnational actors.
