Lenses: Applying Lifespan Development Theories in Counseling

Rate this book
Lenses offers a current and practical review of human development perspectives and theories, a subject that is often critically under-represented in graduate courses. Kraus presents an expansive selection of human development models, theories, and perspectives, and demonstrates how a strong grasp of developmental principles can inform practical applications.

Great overview of specific theories and approaches to the counseling practice. I especially enjoyed the social constructionist view, psychoanalytical theory (with a less rigid structure), spiritual development, lifespan developmental issues for women, black racial identity, and the lesbian/gay males identity developments. All of the theories were informative and insightful, though.
