Ruby: The Pixy Dust Diaries
Even though Ruby feels like a normal pixy, there is one thing that sets her apart; she doesn't have any wings. This would be a good read for kids. It felt like a conglomeration of Star Wars (wyrms), the Tree house Fairy books (Ruby the red fairy), Tinker Bell (pixie dust/pixie hollow), Willow (dark fairies), Fablehaven (the pack),The Neverending Story, etc.
It was pretty impressive for a first time author though.
If I hadn't been regularly thinking to myself, "that was in..." or "that's just like..."I would've enjoyed it more.

Definitely a book for the pre-teen crowd.
