Gini King was a shy and studious young woman when she met Jordan Jacks, a young man studying to become a lawyer. No one had ever affected him as she did and they were married six weeks later. After their marriage, Jordan is discovered for his amazing singing talent and this leads to their divorce. Now thirteen years later and circumstances will bring them together again. Jordan was unaware that they had a daughter, but now he plans to bring Gini and his daughter Melanie together as a family. Gini, a teacher, is still insecure and he is so wealthy and famous, will they fit in to his world? Jordan is unaware of how his agent Felicia is constantly trying to destroy their fragile beginning. Will Gini finally realize that Jordan, the man not the singer, is who she needs? I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author. (by paytonpuppy)

This was my mother's favorite book that's why I tried really hard to at least like it. But I have to say, sorry, mommy, no can do. The main heroine, Giny, was such a spineless ninny that I wanted to shake her and tell her to grow a pair, for cryin' out loud. How can an adult woman in her thirties, a mother to boot, be so weak-willed and foolish? And that everyone, from her parents to Jordan's neighbor, went with her idiotic behavior instead of telling her no, angered me even more. What Jordan saw in this nitwit is honestly beyond me. That she was kind? There are many kind women out there who don't actively sabotage their marriage and the life and career of a man they claim to love, thank you very much.

Gini divorced her husband before he became famous to not stand in his way. But finding out she was pregnant was not in her plans. Even though she has always loved him she thought she would be a burden to him. Then Jordan finds out they have a daughter and he has never stopped loving her and is determined to make them part of his life. But he has to convince Gini that he wants them in his life and they are more important to him than his career has ever been.

The story of Gini and Jordan was full of heartache and angst. Their relationship seemed very superficial, only showing the physical aspect as the most important part. Jordan bonded quickly with his daughter, but there was no fun or joy in the couple’s emotional relationship. I received this arc for an honest review.

Gigli's distrust of the man she so easily connected with and loves is hard to grasp, but it definitely leads you to an intriguing story. Ann is a master at introducing her characters and happily ever after. I received this as an advanced d reading copy.

This is the fourth of four in the series and by far, the best of them. Previous stories followed a similar outline – powerful man, former wife/girlfriend, father unaware of the child. The same holds true in this one but the father, Jordan Jacks, is a vulnerable rock singer. Gini divorced him years before when his career started to take off because she didn’t want to hold him back.

His music is written from his broken heart and each time Gini hears it, she knows he is thinking of her. Through a series of unexpected events, the two meet again and attempt to sort out their complicated lives.

It’s a short story and I would have liked to see more written at the end. Yet we still have a conclusion and the HEA.

I was gifted a copy by the author in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

Hmm, second chance love stories are really good! It seems the love that was shared seemed to survive the many years apart and a surprising secret. It's so wonderful when young love that was broken can be found again and repaired but made stronger than before.
Insecurities and miscommunication can only hurt, but good that everything was brought out in the open in the end and they found their way back to each other.

In this second chance romance, we meet a rock star and a teacher. They were married in their teens as she soon filed for divorce when he started to gain fame as she failed to mention her upcoming pregnancy.

Years have passed and he wants her back. He is in for a surprise for his life as he finds out that they have a daughter together. He would do anything to have them both females in his world forever but can he forgive her for non disclosure? Can she deal with his fame? Will love triumph?

It is a sweet second chance romance with a hidden secret.

Gina and Jordan were a couple while at University, they got married and then he became a rock star rather than a lawyer, and Gina realized that she wouldn't fit into his new world, and she didn't want to hold him back as she loved him so much, so she divorced him, not knowing that she was pregnant at the time.
Years later she has a car accident and tells her daughter, Melanie, who her father is. Things take an unusual turn.

An excellent read from Ann

Gini and Jordan were young and immature when they met and married. When Jordan's musical career started to take off, Gini filed for divorce, feeling like she couldn't fit into the rock star world. Thirteen years later when Jordan sees Gini at his concert and discovers he has a daughter he wants them both in his life and will do anything to keep them. Gini must decide if she can find a way to live in Jordan's world. Angsty and heartwarming - a good read overall.

Moving right along with the series I really enjoyed this one also. Gini and Jordan carry us away in this one with the story. For this it is a second chance because they do have a past but then they get a present. She thought she had given him what he was supposed to do but things were going to change. Being there is also a child involved makes for one that is a sure fire way to pull on the heart. I like who becomes in charge.

I received this as an arc for my honest review

This was an okay story but nothing more. I didn’t really connect with the characters and I didn’t believe the love story between them. The fact that Jordan kept letting Felicia have free roam of his house just didn’t seem right and showed that he didn’t really respect Gini and that just didn’t sit well with me.

Ok read. The connection between the characters and the love story between them was not all that believable. Jordan kept letting Felicia rule his life and just disappeared to his music studio every time when he should be there for Gini didn’t seem right and showed that he didn’t really respect her..Received an ARC from the author and this is my honest review

Another Interesting book in this series

I think that the first two books in this series spoilt it for me and I was a bit harsh on my review of the last book but looking back I guess if you are in love with a rock star or movie star you are bound to feel a bit inferior and this was portrayed very well in this book. I just miss the rumour !
