Reading Qi Jun's articles is like leafing through an old photo album, in which yellowed photos carry so many memories -- the time is the first half of this century, and the place is Jiangnan (regions south of the Yangtze River) with which the author is obsessed. Qi Jun is creating images for a bygone era, and those images are telling old stories of the same keynote, warm yet faintly sorrowful.
