Bug Bear Book & CD Set
Bear settles down next to a tree for a nap. Just as he's falling asleep, a small bug lands on his nose and decides to make himself comfortable. "You're so soft and squishy," the bug tells Bear. "And you DO have a lot of that warm fur to spare." Bear tries swatting at the bug, stomping around, and jumping up and down, but the bug just won't leave him alone! Then Owl offers to help. Could the clever bird have the perfect solution?

Un osezno está haciendo la siesta, cuando una inesperada mosca se le acerca; queriendo hacerlo servir como lecho.
Simpático y vistoso cuento infantil, con narración de ' rodolins'. Aunque simple, posee frescura y encanto.

Looove the illustrations. And the rhymes are good. Story is alright, ends a little abruptly.

I enjoyed this. Though the story is stilted at the conclusion, the illustrations make up for it.

I thought it was cute but there needed to be a little more

Cute, but lacked substance

Cute rhymes. Pretty short. Nice pictures. Environmentally inaccurate. Those animals wouldn't all be together at the same time in the same place.

A charming book that children will find hysterical. The beautiful illustrations in this book depict the story with warmth and humour. Along with the wonderful humour, told in fun, childish rhyming language, this story also carries some important messages and discussion points about personal space and respect and can be a useful, gentle way of approaching this topic with younger children. Bug is not trying to irritate Bear, he just wants to be his friend and live in his snuggly warm fur. However, Bear is not happy with this and the book deals beautifully with setting boundaries and finds an alternative solution for the Bug which leads to all of the characters being happy. The text in the book is written in a fun, childish font which depicts the characters. It is however, written with a random mixture of upper case and lower case letters which could be confusing for young children so this may be an area to apply some consideration to before using the book. This book is suitable for EYFS and KS1.

September 30, 2019Bug Bear is a book which is strongly aimed at younger children (Reception or Year 1 ages). This fun loving book has a creative take on introducing early teaching of personal, social and emotional learning (PSE), where the bug in the story is looking for a new home; he seeks the sink/fur of the bear. However, the bear does not like this and in turn gets very annoyed and upset about it, until a wise owl comes to help. The book uses fun, loving and childish rhyming language to tell its story alongside its bright, colourful and very exciting illustrations.

Good book for bug storytime. Might be too wordy for toddlers. There's a bug, a bear, an owl, and a sloth. The bug is "bugging" the bear and the wise old owl comes up with a solution. The bug can "bug" the sloth. He doesn't mind at all. If I'm not able to read the book it would still work great as part of my bug book display.

Cute rhyming, fun illustrations. Some bigger vocab words and the story ended rather abruptly IMO, but it's still a good story, especially if you are looking for some rhythmic rhyming that flows well. Would be good for a one-on-one read aloud or a storytime read. Themes could be bears, bugs, animals, or rhyming.

Fun writing and illustrations in this book but I don't like the resolution. I feel that it doesn't portray a great moral. It teaches that if we just go to someone and complain our problems will just go away.

cute little rhyming story. I enjoyed doing the voices of all the characters while doing a read-aloud. the illustrations are simple and appealing to tots. I didn't care too much for the ending though... feels like they took advantage of the sloth.

Nice rhyme. Bug wants to live in bear's fur. Bear is being bothered by bug. Cute story about being friends and asking permission.

I guess it was the point but Bug really bugged me. Just leave Bear alone. I hate when I ask someone to leave me alone and they just won't.

A fun one that can be sung out loud to kids

It ends too abruptly. Here is a home for you with this random sloth...THE END. This book was sweet nonetheless.

A fun read with a catchy rhyming scheme.

Totally cute, but I found that I stumbled on the rhythm of this rhyming book a LOT. That was frustrating. A few more editorial passes and this would have been a great book. The art is adorable.

Dr Suess style rhyming was excellent. As long as you aren't talking about ecosystems and are just looking for a fun book, then this is great.
