Do you have what it takes to survive? “Freefall. That can’t be good.” Alex and Aleena are twins with parents who believe in learning through experience. Unfortunately for them, their field trip to the colony world of Britannia is about to take a horrible turn. Separated from their parents after their ship is destroyed, Alex, Aleena, and their friends find themselves facing new dangers at every turn. Their parents came to help those infected by a deadly virus. Now, it’s up to this group of teens to save Colony Zero. “I don’t suppose it’s too much to ask for a lift?” Not everyone is affected by the virus. The team soon finds a survivor. Nara becomes their local guide and motivation for Alex to save the rest of the colonists. They must deliver the cure developed by their parents to someone who can help the inhabitants of Colony Zero or Nara’s people will all die. “I don’t think they’re the only ones we need to worry about.” The crazed infected mobs were bad enough. But, the mystery of their exploding starship is solved when hostile aliens known as the Saiph appear over the skies of Colony Zero. Are they here to take advantage of the confusion sown by the virus or did they cause the plague as Nara believes? One thing is for sure, the Saiph don’t want the cure Alex and Aleena’s parents planned to deliver to make it to the colonists. “I only broke into the computer system. Alex is the one who activated the Protocol!” Alex enlists Victoria, a friend and computer prodigy, to activate Colony Zero’s Quarantine Protocol. Setting off the beacons means the team will be stuck on the surface with no help until they can stop the spread of the virus. This infection started on Colony Zero, but it is up to Alex and his friends to be sure it stops there, no matter what the cost! It’s not every day you get to save an entire freaking planet.
