I receive this book in exchange for an honest review. I loved the story of second chance romances. Especially since these two are "mature" and not twenty something's. Bobbi and Mack are in the late fifties. That's right late fifties. Both are extremely established in their careers. Bobbi Cooper is a captain for an airline and has just left a twenty year marriage. She loved her high school sweetheart Mack for a long time but ultimately decided to leave him behind to pursue flying in the military. Mack was heartbroken but we all know high school romances don't always last so he moved on but always loved Bobbi. Flash forward forty years. On board her flight to Paris she sees Mack sitting in first class. Well sparks fly between these two. Mack has issues he is dealing with and Bobbi has her own but boy oh boy whoever said sex is plain or nonexistent after fifty never met these two. The story takes place over the course of a few days but it was loaded with good stuff. If you are looking for a quick read to kill an hour or two then this is it.
I love me a good second chance story, and Cockpit is no exception. This tells the tale of high school sweethearts, Bobbi and Mack. Bobbi broke Mack's heart years ago by leaving him to pursue her flying career, and never looked back. Now, forty years later, he's on one of the commercial flights she's piloting, and it seems the spark between them is still there.
What ensues is a story full of steamy sexual tension, misunderstandings and erotic adventures. I adored the fact the hero and heroine were in their late fifties, and were still just as sexy as twenty-somethings! There are twists and turns to this book, with a great mixture of everyday issues and fantasy. Overall, a well-written, engaging and endearing read, with plenty of intrigue and heat to keep you turning those pages.
Bobbi is an excellent pilot. She is one of the best and her whole crew knows it. Mack is a gorgeous world-traveler who just happens to be on Bobbi's flight. High in the sky, Bobbi and Mack find themselves with First Class tickets to the past. She sees the life she gave up for her career; he sees the life he always wanted. The chance meeting could mean second chances, or history repeating its painful self.
Cockpit by Kate Deveaux is a steamy little story that draws readers in with action and keeps them hooked with possibilities. Everyone wonders "what could have been", and Kate shows us that it could be better than we ever dreamed.
HOly toledo boledo the smexiness between bobbi and Mack. Wowza. These two can start a fire without matches with all the heat coming off them. They are both at different forks in life. One having loss in his life and the other trying to go on after divorce. One has a cheating spouse who humiliated them and the other one that loved but didn’t really allow them to be free. Two high school sweethearts given a second chance and it certainly wasn’t squandered especially in that ride over london wow. That was wow or in the cockpit simulator double wide eyed smexy hawtness there. These two are two parts that fit together to help each other move on and become whole again. Except they find that together they want to be. They are each other’s anchor and cannot get enough of one another. They lose touch after high school but Mack being on Bobbi’s flight rectifies that as he takes the leap to ask her to join him for drinks. She’s hesitate and the chance is almost blown but when they meet again at the hotel and the flight attendant who shagged her husband while they were still married is looking on and drooling over Mack a little revenge is enacted and Bobbi says yes to Mack. Thank our stars for that because if she hadn’t this sexy adventure to finding forgiveness of self and acceptance of the situations around them with a splash of moving on and throw in some love and sexy interludes and you have a seriously wonderful fun story. These two will have you smile with their antics of where and when they are together, laugh at their idle chitchat with themselves and their indecision at times, root for them to move on and find acceptance and see that they are meant to be together and cheer for them when they do see each other as two parts of a whole that help complete each other. A sexy wonderful story of love and moving on and getting second chances with the one you always wonder about and say what if?
With Cockpit Ms. Deveaux has once again crafted a romance that sets itself apart from the pack with a more seasoned main couple that readers will find themselves drawn to. When former high school loves Bobbi and Mack are reunited after forty years apart, with a bit of emotional baggage weighing them down, they're determined not to waste another minute. With a heart-pounding incident pushing them towards one another once again will they turn three days of romance into a lifetime of love or leave each other with more regrets?
From the very first page to the last you'll be caught up in this whirlwind reunion that's intensely erotic with equally intense emotions that each character's dealing with. For the strong-willed Bobbi it's the end of her marriage to a chronic cheater that has left her full of doubts about herself and her future. For a person who's always known their path and their talent, this blow to her self-esteem left me sad but cheering her on to go after Mack. Mack's dealing with the death of his wife and the conflicting emotions of grief mixed with future possibilities being shown to him. Guilt is his heavy burden and it left my heart breaking. From the moment their eyes meet their fiery connection is reignited in fun and flirty banter. They quickly ease back into a relationship full of sexual tension, unspoken understandings, and quiet comfort evolving into erotic interludes. Add in a city known for its history and romance and it all makes for a steamy yet heartwarming reunion that you never want to see end as these are two very likable people dealing with realistic issues in a story over way too soon!

This was such an enjoyable read. Because I have always been a sucker for a second chance at love. Especially when it is about mature people as written in this story.
Bobbi Cooper is a captain for an airline who has recently gotten divorce. Mack McConnell, is a business man, who is on a transatlantic fight to London for a business conference.
Think about what you would do if you happen to run into your high school sweetheart that you haven’t seen in over forty years. That is just what happen to Mack and Bobbi. You are going to have to read the book yourself because I don’t want to give away any spoiler.
Kate Deveaux, has written a book that gets you involved right away. She draws you into the story were you can’t stop turning the page, because you can’t wait to see just what is going to happen between these two people. Just with a chance meeting, get you to thinking of what could have been or just what can be or is it all a dream.
“Her cheeks burned even hotter and her heart beat faster as she wondered if he remembered those nights at the lake so many years ago.”
Scorching hot book about second chance romance. Very well written and very entertaining read.
Bobbi is a skill airline pilot and she knows it. Mack is a gorgeous world travel and very skilled in travel. He just happens to be on Bobbi’s plane. What you don’t know is that Bobbi and Mack are high school sweethearts. Bobbi gave up her relationship with Mack for her career and now seeing him she begins to question everything. She’s just left her 20 year marriage and well Mack has his own problems. But the minute they see each other sparks fly again. This story spans over a few days, but there’s lots of funny and interesting banter. I loved this story, it was cute and a later in life love story. I wasn’t at all disappointed in the direction this book went. Amazing read!!

Bobbi, a 58 year old pilot, finally has her life on track after her sham of a marriage and divorce. She loves her job, even though at times it’s tiring and demanding.
On a flight to London, Bobbi is surprised to see one of the first class passengers is none other than Mack, her high school sweetheart. The same man she left all those years ago to follow her dream of becoming a pilot. Mack is still as stunningly handsome as he was in high school, but as Bobbi sees the ring on his finger, she realises he’s married.
On a three day stopover in London, what harm could come from two old friends having a drink together?
In this face paced erotic novel, we ask ourselves, do we always have to be in control of every aspect of our lives? Or is it okay to throw caution to the wind, and enjoy the ride?
The perfect “what if……” story that we really enjoyed.
On fire...I really enjoyed this book. The cover caught my attention and then the hot aviation theme really intrigued me. Holy hotness was this book, a novella really delivered in spades.I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. I loved that Bobbi was older, late 50's. She is at the top of her career and then gets a flashback with a chance encounter with her long lost love Mac. Wow, he's smokin' sexy and the two of them getup to some pretty kinky stuff. The London Eye scene is worth reading the book for in itself. On to read this author's other books...hope they're all as good as this one. You won't be disappointed in Cockpit. Just hope the sequel comes out soon.
When Bobbi left for work (albeit at 35,000 feet) she didn't expect to run into her high school sweetheart from 40 years ago. Bobbi is an airline captain. She left Mack after high school to go to military college, the air force and now the commercial airlines. A "rough" flight finds her bumping into Mack on her way to the bathroom.
They meet up again when by chance they are staying at the same hotel. Drinks lead to goodnight kisses that turn into steamy nights and more. But Bobbi has had a rough marriage and she sees that Mack has a wedding ring on......sorry no spoilers!! This is truly second chance love
High school sweethearts who have not seen each other since shortly after graduation when they went their separate ways have a chance meeting 40 years later when Bobbi Cooper, AKA Captain Bob Cooper, is the pilot on the transatlantic flight into London and Mack McConnell is a passenger in first class. Who would have thought sparks would burn so bright and so hot in this second chance romance. Definitely a must read if you are tired of 20-30 somethings and think 50 somethings can be just as hot!

I really enjoyed this story of a second chance at love. It was so fun to see a sexy story written about a couple that isn't in their early 20's or 30''s. I loved how the author made them a passionate, lusty, playful couple that had knew how to please each other because they knew who they were. I think anyone who is of a certain age, no matter how happy they are in their current relationship, wonder what if, for their high school/college love, & this was such a beautiful story of love rekindled.

I started reading your book last night, with no intentions of finishing it. Well, what a surprise, I could not put it down!!! I could not go to sleep without reading the whole story! I was spelled bind, with the characters, the story line everything! I hope this is not a stand-alone, I could see the characters evolve over a longer time line. Needless to say, I loved it! Keep writing, you have a real talent to bring the reader into the story with both POV's.
Bobbi Cooper is a commercial airline pilot and recent divorced. During her flight she bumps into her highschool sweetheart Mack Bobbi is still attracted to Mack, the only problem is, is he married.
I loved this story, its so hard to find strong leading females and Bobbi is definitely a strong character.
Bobbi Cooper is a commercial pilot and Mack is a first- class passenger and a blast from each others past, they have not seen each other in 40 years.Bobbi is getting over her cheating husband and Mack is trying to cope with the death of his wife. Can two damaged people come together ? I was given a copy for an honest review barwatts@telus.net
I really enjoyed reading Cockpit. This is a story about Bobbi and Mack. They were high school sweethearts, however, they parted ways. Will they have a second chance with romance? I highly recommend this one.
Cockpit is a hot second chance romance. Bobbi left Mack years ago when she chose her career as a pilot over him. Now, 40 years later he's on her flight and suddenly all those feelings are rushing up again.
If you think sex between anyone older than 20s and 30s isn't hot, Bobbi and Mack will prove you completely wrong. Even though they're in their 50s, they're hotter together than most 20 and 30 year olds. But, Bobbi is coming off a a bad divorce and Mack, well, Mack is still wearing a wedding ring. So, will they ever get their second chance? For real this time, with nothing standing in their way?
I like Cockpit and would have given it 5 stars if there had been an epilogue and if the ending weren't a little abrupt and rushed. Up to that point, though, I thought Cockpit was heading into 5 star land for sure. It's sexy and steamy, sweet and emotionally satisfying. There's something to be said for people who have lived their lives longer than a few decades. They're wiser and more experienced, and when I say experienced, I mean EXPERIENCED!! Whew...

Cockpit by Kate Deveaux is a short story about two people that fell in love during high school. Now it is 40 years later, and they meet again on a flight to London.
Bobbi Cooper is a skillful commercial airline pilot, and she enjoys the freedom and control that flying provides. Mack McConnell is the founder and CEO of a very successful bio genetics firm. Both Bobbi and Mack have worked very hard to achieve their professional success. Bobbie is newly divorced from her cheating husband of 23 years. Mack is a widower, after losing his beloved wife to cancer a little over a year ago.
Bobbi and Mack rekindle the spark from years ago, and they are a hot couple both in and out of the bedroom. They decide to take a second chance at love, once they iron out a few of the details from their respective pasts. If you in the mood for a quickie with a lot of steam, Cockpit is for you.
In addition, the book's cover is both alluring and sexy.

A female airline pilot approaching her sixties comes across her old high school boyfriend sitting in first class on her flight to London. She eventually meets him for a drink in their hotel, not expecting anything to happen because he’s wearing a wedding ring, as well as their ages. Boy, was she wrong. Interesting that, after quite a few mentions of age at the beginning—mostly with her wondering if she could be sexy enough—it was never mentioned again, certainly not during sex. Though her self-doubt was understandable, there seemed to be too much of it, especially in her rivalry with a flight attendant half her age who’d screwed her now ex-husband. A little more of London would have been nice too. In the end it was cute but no big deal. Extra points for having an older couple, especially the sex scenes in offbeat titillating places like the London Eye and the flight simulator. But other than that it seemed pretty standard.
This book was ok. Bobbie and Mack were interesting characters and they had great chemistry. The sex was great but their communication SUCKED, which I ended up getting really frustrated with. Bobbie kept saying she wanted answers but kept getting swept up in the chemistry which I expect of a character at 21, not so much at 58. I also found the ending a bit abrupt, I would have loved an epilogue to see how things work out longer term. In spite of my issues with it, it was still a pretty good, very sexy story. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.
Bobbi is a 58 year old airline pilot who is the captain on her plane. She runs into her old high school sweetheart Mack. They’d been engaged, but she broke up with him. After an emergency landing, Mack sees her again and asks her out for drinks. They end up going out and having a great time, but when Bobbi asks the wrong questions and pushes for an answer, Mack shuts down. Will their reunion be over?
This was an entertaining story, and it was nice to read a story about an older woman in her 50’s since we don’t get to read many books with heroines in this age bracket. And the love scenes were hot as well!
Cockpit is a steamy second chance romance. Bobbi Cooper is a recently divorced commercial airline pilot. Mack McConnell is the CEO of a very successful bio genetic firm. The two meet again after 40 years when Mack is a passenger on one of Bobbi's flights. Neither expected to see each other again let alone get a second chance at love. What I really enjoyed about Cockpit was the couple being in their fifties. They had just as much kink, sex, and lust as any younger couple and proved it's never to late for a second chance at love. Complimentary copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley.
Second chance romance=check Characters that are over 40=check Female character in a male dominated job=check With all this going for it why havent you read this book yet!? Oh, the story....its so good. I havent read a good book in a long time with all these things going for it. I will be making sure to check out other works from Kate and have her on my author watch list.
Bobbi and Mack where high school sweethearts who broke up as life changed for both of them. Reunited at 37000 feet in the air as Bobbi is the captain of a plane and Mack is a passenger. Mack makes a huge player for Bobbi, will she let him catch her? I loved the London setting and all the great info about it. Liked that they were a couple in their 50s.
