Ernest Leland Norman (November 11, 1904 – December 6, 1971) was an American electrical engineer and spiritual leader. A polymath, Norman dabbled in philosophy, poetry, scientific research and paranormal investigation. Ernest Norman also co-founded with his wife Ruth E. Norman aka Uriel the Unarius Science of Life and the Unarius Educational Foundation, which later became known as Unarius Academy of Science. Before starting the grassroots work for Unarius, Ernest Norman also worked for the Borderlands Sciences Research Association as a contributing editor for the Round Robin journal, and also worked as a minister for a Spiritualist church for 15 years. Ernest Norman wrote twenty books in his lifetime that covered theoretical physics, spirituality, philosophy, theology, extraterrestrial life, sociology, and poetry. Norman also authored articles further emphasizing the interdimensional hypothesis he was trying to teach, and answered letters from his students that have been archived at the Unarius Academy of Science. The first book he wrote, The Truth About Mars, gives an account where he met the Martian ambassador, a being named Nur El, and traveled to the underground cities of Mars in his astral body. Unariuns believe he was other major figures in Earth's history, and that he was overshadowed by an Archangel named Raphiel who resides on a celestial super planet with other Archangels. He is referred to as the Moderator, or as "Dr." Norman by his students out of respect. A genius child prodigy, Ernest Norman never sought a doctorate through academia as he was self-taught and did not have formal schooling for many of the subjects he seemingly mastered, as he claimed his knowledge was due to his clairvoyant connection to the Masters and Higher Minds of the White Brotherhood.
A SERIES OF ARTICLES EXPLAINING PRINCIPLES OF THE UNARIUS ORGANIZATION
Ruth Norman (the co-founder of Unarius with her husband Ernest Norman) wrote in the ‘Note’ preceding this 1965 book, “The various articles comprising this book were given at different intervals, sometimes in reply to some student’s letter or questions; other times, when some article of interest appeared in the news, TV, etc., that attracted the Elder Brother’s attention to the point where he would voice his reply and objectification of the topic in question; a few were given in a class lecture. On other occasions he would simply be contemplating and come up with one of more of these dissertations. They were given without any thought in mind of becoming a book but were simply individual and separate articles that our Moderator voiced, and form a great and important addition to the various other texts of Unarius. These dissertations have been used, in mimeograph form, to send to students who contribute to the ‘Cause’ as a sort of thank you or appreciation gesture. Some articles were given at the very beginning of the work, in 1955-’56, others, as recently as 1967. Many students who have received some of them acclaim them to be of greater importance than all other Unarius texts, and I quite agree.”
Ernest Norman wrote in the Foreword, “And so the last days have come. The long-promised return of the Messiah is fulfilled! But He has not come to the countless millions who have not prepared themselves; and they see Him not, through the mists of their own illusions. Immortality is not a promised resurrection. It is not and cannot be a fulfillment of some religious creed; for all these promises and assertions are made by common men, caught up in some fancied promise, some false statement of divinity. Neither will those who carve or paint or try to new a temple of a pyramid be caught up in a tide of immorality. But only to those who have recognized within themselves, a small spark of sublime Wisdom; a spark which, when fed the fuel of human endeavor, fanned with the breath of undying dedication, will grow into a lambent flame, which will, forever, warm this man’s soul, and light the pathway that leads to the doorway of heaven.”
He wrote in the Prelude, “The quest for life, its origin and ultimately the answer to all things lies not within the circumference of any man’s life or any earthly plane, in any epoch or civilization, for the earth itself is but a vast and complex mirror upon whose complex surface there ever plays this pageantry of life and death, portrayed not as the earth as giver and taker of all things, but one of the many facets of shining imagery which are reflected from the all-creative substance from within. And internally there shines about each man in his age-old processions through time, the countless and innumerable reflections of this procession. His footsteps leave behind the haloed dust or his creations, which shines in its reflected glory his pathway which leads each man ever onward into the infinite vistas, into the shining cosmos of creation.”
The first chapter explains, “Throughout the Bible… there are references and prophecies made about the ‘Last Days,’ ‘The Return of Christ’… Several of these prophecies describe ‘Jesus’ or the ‘Lord’ returning to earth on a ‘Golden Throne’… the earth is burned and cleansed by fire, the wicked destroyed, etc. … It is quite unintelligent for Jesus of God to burn the earth. To punish or destroy sinners defeats the purpose or Immortal Life which is the birthright of every man. The destruction of the world denies the entire façade of an intelligent progressive evolution. No. Jesus and other Intelligent Beings in the Higher Worlds would not use such violent reactionary materialistic actions. Instead, they could quite obviously be expected to use a much more intelligent re-entry into the earth world… Moreover, these Heavenly Hosts would establish and maintain such communication and direction only with those who had been preconditioned through many lifetimes and Spiritual lives for this personal advent which would, in all effect and purpose, be the ‘Second Coming’ to that particular person.” (Pg. 1-2)
It concludes, “So, each man cometh unto his time and place where he must choose between the world of his own making. The denominators of his own experiences can become as millstones around his neck if he does not turn them into the Essenic substances of spiritual manifestation. If he cannot see creative logic and reason, the infinite resources which expand his consciousness, then he is indeed lost. For, even as I am joined, so that you, too, must also be joined. That we may live in the House of the Lord, forever.” (Pg. 489)
