About the author

Simen Oem studied political economy and anthropology in Charleston, South Carolina and Krakow, Poland before moving to South Asia, where he has lived for a tumultuous decade.
Mr. Oem published two books of essays on faith, life and culture in his beautiful, challenging Southeast Asian home, "More than Liquid" and "The Girl Who Lives on Heaven Hill."
He is the author of the novels "The Ring Walk" and "Salem Hates Sarah," as well as two other volumes of poetry.

I'm not much of a wrestling fan, but my husband recommended The Ring Walk since I'm into crime novels and thrillers.

I admired Flex for dealing with the craziness that his dad put him through, and the book really brought Philadelphia's seedy side to life for me.

Most stuff written about wrestling is stiffer than Stan Hansen's lariat. In contrast this book is excellent - fast-paced, gripping and funny as fuck.
