Absolutely batshit insane. That's what this book is.
Ubu Bubu caught my eye when I saw how cute the cover was. That cover was merely a facade though, I didn't expect I'd be hurled into a world of crude jokes, destruction and insanity. The art style looked nice,'Invader Zim-esque', which is always good.
The story is everywhere. Chaos. But a good controlled chaos with willie jokes and phallic objects scattered throughout the book. Ubu Bubu manages to meld cute characters with violence, profanity and humor. This is reminiscent of the Japanese manga series Nekojiru Udon by author Nekojiru.
If you're a fan of crude, crude humor, you need this in your life. If otherwise, avoid it like the plague. This book is never to be taken seriously, just get on it, as the author states in the book, "It's just a bit of a laff, innit!" 8/10, my child, 8/10!

I have been going through my bookcase to revisit and re-read some of my books and comics, this one included.
It is so weird (in a good way) to read some of the obscure comics I had collected when I was a teenager.
The humour is still good and it can make me laugh out loud, but at the same time I feel kind of creeped out by the story?
This is not an unfamiliar phenomenon for me. I can have the same reaction with Scandinavian thriller tv series. I want to watch them because of the amazing stories and plot twists, but they do make me scared of my own shadow and give me a hard time walking in a dark house for several weeks on end.
It is double, but I like the comic still.

Well. What can i say? One of the strangest,most out there series ive read but surprisingly fun at the same time.
