Lets start off by saying that this story picked up right where the last one left off on.This story was as intense as the last but not as dark but definitely steamy and exciting and the kind of story that keeps you on edge to see what is going to happen next.
Everly was a major surprise this time around she showed true grit and determination and what she was really made of.In this current tale we find that Everly is not who we think she is but so much more. Omg! This story blew me away as everything we thought was true in the last story has your mind doing a 180 in this story.What a twist loved it and I can stay that what is currently happening in this story is the perfect twist .
Talon is still Talon but we are seeing him change right before our eyes as he is fighting that change with everything he has and questioning everything and listening and seeing and putting things in perspective without going off half cocked all the time.Talon is changing as he starting to see he has a heart after all even if he denies it. Talon is in love with and cares for Everly and she is changing him just by being who and what she truly is.She is changing him for the better.We actually see a lighter version of Talon this time around not off the bat but as the story digresses.I loved seeing this happen.Its like we are seeing him happy for the first time in his life.
I love this story from cover to cover it was full of so many omg moments and surprises that it kept you engrossed in its plot to the very end.I hated to see the story end as we were finally getting some answers to this twisted and intriguing plot but we are left with another cliffhanger.I can't wait to see what happens next.

This is the continuation of the first book in this series by Condemned by him by LM Roberts. Do NOT read this before you read Condemned by him.
Starts right where we left off Everly ran away from Talon and shes hiding out waiting for the next plan of action.
Talon is lying in wait ready to pounce and cage his pet back up. Stalking and learning her movements.
In this book we also see new characters as well we meet the GQ snake Tomas and his mother Maureen in the diner Everly works at. We also see Jasmine in all her butt kicking glory and of course Talon
Talon comes and steals Everly back home. Now the story really begins to pick up will Everly and Talon work through their differences and get to a good place or will they kill each other in this installment..
This book has many triggers rape, dominance death and kinkyness <3
I give this book 4 stars and can't wait for the final book please come out soon

I'm not really sure how to go about this review, as I don't want to give anything away, and yet, I need to type some kind of enticement to join me on the dark side of confused addiction. And even though it starts off right where the previous book ended, (btw just it case anyone was confuses, you must read the previous book), it was different to me, and not in a bad way. I loved the way Everly has evolved, as she's more free and herself. Of course, Talon doesn't care and is trying to chase her to the ground, as he wants her back. Everly is a a complicated character with a side of crazy that had me loving her, while wanting to choke her as well. Bound by Chains did a great job showing us her upbringing which had triggered her personality. But on the flip side, Talon was the big bad alpha that I called names, and yet, still loved while I wanted to junk punch him, but a different side of him made appearances, and I'm not talking about that he's not longer that big bad alpha. Anyway, with all the twists, and complications that had me dropping many loud f-bombs, it's hard to get my point across, and of course the ending still has my heart racing, and still not sure how I feel! Whether this made any sense or not, just read the book, and maybe just maybe, you too, will understand. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Once again, Roberts has given us an ending that sucks in the readers, daring us to see what is to come.
This book is a little different from the first one. Now we see Everly free and being herself. However, Talon is hot on her tail, wanting her back for his disposal. We get to see Everly kick some butt, which has even Jasmine afraid of her.
In the beginning of the first book, I liked Talon. He was that big, bad, scary alpha male that no one messed with. Then, as the books progressed, his character, and especially his interactions with Jasmine, took on a comic persona. I don’t know if this was on purpose or not.
Everly is a crazy character. We find out more about her and her upbringing in this book that explains further what we learned at the end of the last book. I liked her a lot, but could do without all the swearing, which is saying a lot because I cuss like a sailor.
Talon goes through more of a transition in this book. His cold, black heart starts to come to life. He takes on a different role in this book that lets us see he does have a soft side to him.
Again, the ending was just crazy. It had me on the edge of my seat. And when it was over, I was like, “Are you kidding me?”

Bound By Chains: A Dark Erotic Romance (Shattered Hearts Trilogy Book 2) by L. M. Roberts Picks up with Everly living on the streets after escaping Talon’s house with no food and no place to go. She is trying to get a hold of her father to no avail. She has feelings for Talon and misses him but refuses to go back to his house. Talon has been looking for Everly ever since he was able to get out of his house. He knows when he finds her he will make her pay for what she did to him and the way she left. He wants his Pet back and could care less what he needs to do. Even after he finds out who she really is and what she is capable of doing he is not deterred from getting her back. Once he does the story took a twist I did not see coming. I really loved the characters and Talon was a sick sexy killer who had to fight his feelings once Everly comes back into his life. Everly made him feel things he never did or had not felt in a long time. After her life changing experience Everly turned into a women that was Talon’s equal. The sex was definitely hot as heck. This story had me going back and forth. I wasn’t quite sure what I felt about this book but once I got to the end I was like what the hell. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader Copy of the book and give this story 4 stars. I am hooked and can’t wait to read the final book in the series.

This book picks up perfectly from where book 1 ended... and the journey between Talon and Evelyn continues to be the rollercoaster ride we all expected... but with a huge twist... their journey takes on a totally new direction!!!
WOW... so where do i even begin... I refuse to give spoilers so it makes it difficult when a book is written with this much passion and full of twists... right to the very last word!!! (make sure to keep a box of tissues at hand as i was sobbing at the end)
This is one hell of a twisted read and it kept me enthralled from beginning to end...
everything you need for a 5 star read is contained within the pages of this book... and then some!!!
The passion between the characters will have you literally panting... whilst you still feel like you need to shout!!!
Ms Roberts has outdone herself with this book... and although it sadly ends on a cliffhanger... its one that you will not be able to forget... ever!!!
I personnally can't wait to find out what happens next... and i can guarantee that all who read this will feel the same!!! Bring it on... I'm ready and willing for the concluding part... and i am desperate to find the answers!!!

WOW! This book just blew me away! Absolutely Brilliant! The dynamic between Talon and Everly is crazy. The direction this story took just knocked my socks off, totally unexpected.
This story takes the reader on an erotic Thrill seeking ride with the unbelievably HOTT Master of all he surveys, Talon. That man scorches the pages of this book, I would let him take control any day!!
Talon is completely perplexed with how to handle a woman like Everly. She is strong willed ,determined, feisty, independent and her fiery spirit really gets under his skin. Never one to bend or break his iron will, Talon will not let Everly get away with evading him. The consequences will be many and the price for Everly may just be too high.
The twist L. M. Roberts drops in had my jaw hitting the floor, and the ending had my eyes popping out of my head. This book was an excellent read, engaging and intriguing and I totally loved it. Completely hooked and super excited for book 3!

I truly thought the follow up would deliver and it just didn’t do it for me. The storyline and plot are there, but it was lacking somehow.
In the beginning, Everly is awesome and Talon is trying to come to terms for his feelings for Everly and he still cannot understand why he feels the way she does. But like in the first book, the story takes a 180 and that’s where it went downhill for me. I was sooo anxious to see Everly in her new form and the author just teased us LOL. But Everly does get Talon good and I was like “you go girl” in my Martin voice.
The story does have some funny moments and this quote from the book had me dying! “Where am I now though? I can tell you I’m not balls deep inside of her. Instead, I’m in Jasmine’s room gathering clothes like the b%$#@ boy she called me earlier. How the fu#$ing mighty has fallen.”
The story ends on another cliffhanger and I sure do hope the next story is very soon.

BOUND BY CHAINS is the second book in the Shattered Hearts Trilogy, and an amazing follow-up to CONDEMNED BY HIM. You definitely MUST READ Condemned by Him prior to reading this one, as they are not standalones.
This one picks up directly where book one finishes off. The tone throughout is different, I didn't find it as dark and I think that is because Everly is able to be herself now that she is away from Talon. But Talon is determined to get Everly back - he wants his pet.More is learnt about Everly's background in this one too, which aids in her character's developement. Talaon also undergoes a change, he becomes a lot lighter and his softer side begins to emerge. The more time he spends with Everly, the more he changes.
Once again the book ends on one almighty twist. I loved this one as much as the first. I cannot wait to see how this trilogy ends.

Book 2 in this series, and I still can't seem to get properly into the story.. But somehow I just NEED to know what happens! It's that well written.
I still think Talon is extremely childish. But Everly is the one to change him. Makes him see things differently...as he thinks for himself.
In the beginning in this book, Everly is naive and..a bit childish too. But she shows how badass she actually are. A true alpha!
But how can one house have to alphas?
And yet again, L.M.Roberts has a surprise in store. A twist that makes me want to read the next book!

I first read condemned by him and instantly fell in love with the book, when I found the follow on, naturally I had to read it.
I wasn't disappointed. I felt like the start of the book was a bit slow, but from chapter 10 onwards, it really started to get rather interesting!
It like the roles between talon and Everly just switched!
It's not as dark and saucy as the first book (condemned by him) but there was a few rather excited chapters shall I say.
The last chapter at the end had me like, S*** i literally didn't expect what happened to happen
So now I'm really looking forward to the follow on from bound by chains, the first book left me questioning, this book has also left me with questions, I need to know what happens next and I need to know soon!

What a fantastic follow-on from Condemned By Him.
With Everly having shown her true character at the end of the book I knew Bound By Chains would be a treat to read. "Bitch Boy", aka Talon, was in for a bit of a rude awakening in this book. Jasmine provided humour and is a great character too.
Wow!!! I didn't expect the story to go the way it did and what a blinder it is! Talk about a twist in the plot!!! I was totally lost in the book and couldn't put it down until I'd finished it.
I can't wait for the next book!

This is the second book in this amazing series, and follows straight on from “Condemned by Him”. These are not standalone, and need to read in order. In this story Everly is finally just being herself, and Talon is determined to get her back. No spoilers please give this amazing series a go for yourself!!
This story ends with a huge twist, and I for one, cannot wait to read #3. I was hooked and enthralled from the very beginning and hats off to the author for writing such an intriguing storyline.

This was quite the dark read that will capture you immediately. Be aware, read book 1 prior to this. I hadn't and was a bit lost but that's my own fault. That aside great read! I always am down for a good dark read!! There are triggers so heads up.

Oh my god.....this book was totally worth the wait?! This is book 2 of the shattered hearts novels.
I was so engrossed and bam it ended.
What an ending.....i thought book one was a shocker but book two.....left me wanting and needing more. I was warped into this amazing world?!
Its left me in a proper book funk and i need the next one like yesterday?!
I love all of l.m. roverts books but this one is by far my fave.
I loved talon in the first but this one made me love him more.
And the twist.....i was not expecting that?!
This is without a doubt a 5* book that i will be recommending to everyone?!
