MP3 CD Format They say a soul mate only comes along once. I believe it, too. I had my chance, but it slipped away. Each day a little more of myself dies, but I pretend I'm fine. That is until I see him--the man who makes me feel alive--Garrick Shaw. Something within me changes. It's unavoidable and unlike anything I've ever known. And it scares me, terrifies me. But there's another danger lurking around the corner. Someone is conspiring to take it all away. Who are they? What do they want? Why are they after me? Only time will reveal what's really going on. Hopefully, Garrick and I survive the fallout.
Alas, this wasn’t my jam. I thought the beginning was harrowing and it started strong, but then the couple fall in love, get over her heartbreak and trauma, call each other soulmates and get engaged in the space of like a week. I think it was literally one week. And her entire family somehow all knew and all had had multiple lunches and dinners with him. It just wasn’t very believable to me. That said, the writing was good so I might check out the next book if the couple is different.
The beginning of the story is heartbreaking! This one is a sweet romance with suspense and mystery. Heads up it ends in a cliffy!
We meet Knoah who is working to move forward after the loss of her husband. Garrick is a billionaire who spends all his time working until everything changes when he sees her. They try to deny their attraction until they just can’t anymore. I loved how Garrick treats her (the protector). I enjoyed the twist and turns and with that ending……can’t wait to see what happens!
"We seem to be two broken puzzle pieces that fit perfectly together. Our imperfect perfection mad us compatible."
""You amaze me, Knoah. With you I feel like I'm seeing life for the first time." "You brought me back to life, Garrick.""
This book is perfect in every way! I don't know when it was the last time I started a book and just couldn't put it down. I read it in one sitting and it stole me some hours of sleep last night. But I wasn't able to stop reading.
What's also a first for me: I got my heart broken at the prologue. Never had this happen before, spilling tears at this early stage of a book. This heartache is running like a thread through this story. Pops up now and then and squeezes your heart tightly. But there is also the joy and happiness of new found love. Kristin Mayer did a wonderful job in letting me feel the emotional twists and roller coaster while these two feelings collide.
I totally adore all main characters. They all are easy to fall for and take easily a place within my readers heart. Knoah went through an earth shattering heart break and her physical pain and her loneliness was so clearly visible for me that it was almost my undoing. But she's so strong and fought her way back to the world. I love how the author showed Knoah's development through the book, with what kind of problems she dealt and how she solved them. Knoah built the strength to move forward in her life and that makes her a real heroine to me. Garrick is just the perfect gentleman. I don't find a thing about him that I think is not perfection. Hot as hell, caring, helpful, thoughtful, right amount of alpha, successful, nice ... the list is long. Both hit it of with instant attraction they couldn't explain and fought it at the beginning, but neither was able to stay away from the other. And even though everything moved unbelievably fast due to circumstances no one could expect or control. But as they both learn to embrace what life throws at them and work with it together the just click.
And don't forget, that we have also a great story line here what real friendship is about. I instantly fell in love with Kurt and Sawyer. Two very well introduced and developed side characters, who I definitely need to read more about. Hopefully they'll get their own story. They totally deserve it!
But don't believe this is "just" a love story. No way and this is another thing what kept my eyes clued to the pages. As things happen and move forward with enormous speed there is also a life threatening danger for Knoah coming totally out of the blue. More and more questions pop up in your mind while reading as well as theories why, what, who and how. The suspense which was perfectly build and woven within the story nearly killed me at the end. The cliffhanger leaves you with eyes and mouth wide open asking with shaking hands when you might be able to continue this story.
Overall this book is a perfect combination of heartache, love, grief, joy, happiness, thrill and friendship. It's gripping from the first to the last page. It will make you cry, laugh, smile and biting your lips.
This was my first book by Kristin Mayer and I'm very much looking forward reading more of her!
"To me, a white rose is untouched perfection. You are a white rose, Knoah. You are beautiful inside and out. You are my untouched perfection."
Sometimes the “insta-love, we’re soulmates” stuff annoyed me. But I still enjoyed the love story and the side characters and the mystery with the mob infiltrating Knoah’s life.
Awful. Blackstone Audio what were you thinking? A bad imitation of 50 Shades which was already bad. The helpless, swooning , gullible female lead was truly cringeworthy and the rich, love bombing, controlling, stalker-like male lead was supposed to be the perfect man, however i’d wager that he has a psychiatric.condition. Don’t feed young women this as the princess fairytale come true, this is setting them up not to recognise red flags which lead to an abusive relationship down the track.
Garrick and Knoah! I loved this book and the narrator Savannah Peachwood was great! Knoah has been through so much suffering and then 3 years later her life gets better. She meets the gorgeous billionaire Garrick Shaw! And the book gets interesting. It has a second chance at love for her, someone trying to hurt her and family and friends. It has a beautiful romance and 3 and a half 🔥🔥🔥 of love scenes. I discovered this author on Audible and I plan on listening to more from her.
Earth shattering heart break, physical pain, loneliness, only existing....these words are stark reminders of the life Knoah (with a K) Knox in her young life was living. What this courageous woman went through would be enough to break even the strongest of people, and the fact that she had the strength to go on through life and try to move forward spoke volumes to me!
Businessmen Garrick Shaw didn't do relationships. Not because he was opposed to them, but because he never had the time nor the desire to find that someone special....until he met Knoah.
The immediate spark of chemistry was evident between these two lost souls but Knoah, due to her tragic past was hesitant. Through some soul-searching, pep talks with friends and professional help, Knoah knows (and feels) it's time to move on...and boy did they move at warp speed! But with these two, it suited them! When it feels right why wait?
But while their whirlwind romance came to be, Knoah received an anonymous note and kept getting feelings of being watched and her neighbor was murdered. This is where Kristin excelled in the story! Not only has she written a beautiful love story, the suspense thrown in was unbelievable! And don't get me started with the revelation at the very end!!!!! Holy smokes I have no idea what to make of that! This ends on a cliffy but I know Kristin will answer all our unanswered questions with Flawless Perfection (book 2).
When I think it's impossible for Kristin's writing to be better than previous stories, she goes and proves me wrong! Absolutely PHENOMENAL work Kristin!
I feel like I read two books here. The first half of this book was phenomenal! I was so excited because I was connecting with the main characters, Knoah and Garrick. They were likeable and flawed, and they had pasts that had changed them. I didn't even mind that their relationship moved very quickly- very insta-love. But then as the plot continued, it just seemed like there was too much drama, and it was hard to stay focused, and it was a little over the top.
There will be a continuation of their story releasing soon, so I will read it (I do need to find out what ends up happening!).
Though I liked the chemistry between them, the narration was average and the storyline felt annoyingly whiny. She lost her husband at the start of the story..
Untouchable perfection is one emotionally driven read couldn't put my kindle down even when I sat uncomfortably on the floor while my kindle charged well worth it even with one hell of a cliffhanger . It's starts off with such a sad moment I didn't get to know the heroine just yet but my heart broke for her and the pain she must have gone through . I really liked the characters they were really lovable even the secondary ones that I hope to see more of . Garrick and Knoah unique name by the way made a beautiful couple they tried to fight the attraction but couldn't resist for long and when they do get together there is no drama the hero and heroine are in it and not fighting the inevitable just being together , the sex scenes were tastefully done the steam is just right and appropriate . Knoah is an amazing heroine liked everything about her she blossomed beautifully through out the story , Garrick is so swoon worthy loved everything about him he doesn't push the heroine he makes he comfortable and protected . copy provided for honest review **************************************** hero = 10 heroine = 10 secondary characters = 10 Chemistry = 10 steam = 8 romance = 10 humor = 5 darkness level = 5 enjoyment = 10 angst = 4 action = 5 mystery = 7 story line = 10 Story ending =9 character development = 10 pacing = 10 Plot = 10 cover = 10 stars = 5 author = 8 would I recommend this book = yes would I re read this book = yes would I read future books by this author = yes
EEEKKKK.. Knoah is a girl that's been put through the ringer. She lost a husband to a unforseen accident and has battled depression and self worth for a long time. Until one day she goes to lunch with Sawyer for her birthday and they go up to Cameron office and that's where she meets Garrick. She has a feeling she can't explain. She couldn't understand why she was having all these feelings all of a sudden for someone she didn't know. After going out with him she notices the feeling are way stronger than she was ready for but now she pretty much is forced to figure them out because someone was after her but who. Garrick vows to protect her no matter what. This book will leave you on the edge of your seat the whole time reading it. Who is after Knoah? Does she finally give in to love and tell Garrick about her past? One click and find out.
The story was good and the suspenseful side of it definitely kept me listening but I could not stand Knoah at all. I just couldnt, and she had me rolling my eyes too often. The narrator, Savannah Peachwood, is normally really good but I think in this case, she made the Knoah sound even whinier.
I will be listening to book 2 because like I said, the story was good and plus, I need to know how it all wraps up.
Knoah lost her husband on their honeymoon in a deadly explosion a few years ago. Will she ever love again? It appears, yes!
Garrick, the billionaire owner of a company she’s been hired to plan an event for, may be the one. He’s fallen for her as hard as she’s fallen for him.
But something is wrong. Someone is after her, but why? It’s the mob!
A family secret. Knoah’s parents are not her parents. So who is?

Uhhhhhh… It was okay, the very end, specifically the last two sentences were good; It sets the tone for the second book but the over all book was just too much. She met a guy, moved in, got engaged within a week and half?? 😐
Wow!! This story, this book, these characters..... it ripped my heart out but then very eloquently and with such care Kristin Mayer put it right back together. And in the most beautiful way ever!!
Knoah, poor Knoah has been to hell and back and has been living but not really living. One day she's with her best friend Sawyer and Sawyer's brother Cameron when her entire world is turned upside down. Enters our main man Garrick. Now let me tell you, I'm not sure I've ever met a more perfect man. He's strong, nurturing, caring, and just plain amazing. He has a heart of gold. It's exactly what Knoah needs. He brings her out of her shell. Garrick shows Knoah she is beautiful, brilliant, fierce, and most of all strong. He gives our girl exactly what she needs in this life. I just, I can't fish more about these two. I love them. They are perfect. Add in Sawyer who I loved and is the perfect best friend and her other best friend Kurt. I don't want to get into Kurt too much because I don't want to give away part of the story. But Kurt and Garrick? Knoah couldn't have two more perfect men as a boyfriend and best friend in her life!!
Outside of the actual plot of this story there's also a lesson. Life may not always turn out how it's supposed to and in the meantime you learn about second chances. Not everyone gets one but when you do grab on and hold on tight. It's worth it and you're worth the second chance. Knoah learned that more than anything. She is worth the second chance. Garrick and Knoah's love is worth the second chance. I just, I love these two. They are beautiful and amazing! And I just love them and their story with all my heart!!
Dang Ya'll...this book sucked me in and I didn't want to put it down!!! It was sooo good!!!
Knoah with a K : ) was on her honeymoon when tragedy happened. Knoah was sooo distraught.
Fast forward about 4 years.
"They say a soulmate only comes along once. I believe it, too. I had my chance, but it slipped away. Each day a little more of myself dies, but I pretend I’m fine.
That is until I see him—the man who makes me feel alive—Garrick Shaw."
And boy, ohhh boy is Garrick Shaw just the man to help Knoah feel alive again...feel like she deserves another chance at love. But Knoah still has those feelings that she is not worthy of love a second time around, so Garrick has to work really hard to make Knoah feel like she deserves a second chance at love. And this is where I just loved reading this book and could not put it down. There are sooo many obstacles that they have to overcome but you find yourself really rooting for them to get together!!!
I gave this book 5 Perfection Stars!!! I have read several Kristin Mayer's books previously, but by far this is my fav!!! Can not wait for book 2!!!
This is one suspenseful romantic thriller! It had me feeling like I needed to watch my own back. Garrick is a swoonworthy man for sure! Kind of reminds me of some of the heroes in some really popular books out there. He is a billionaire who spends all of his time running his own company until he meets Knoah Knox. I have to say that I enjoy a really good prologue that immediately grabs my attention and makes me want to read more. That was definitely the case in this book. There are so many secrets and things from the past that it was like opening up a gift every chapter! And then when you think you have it all figured out, you find out there is a cliffhanger!! And I can not wait to see how this story ends up.
From start to finish this book had my heart racing! I cried, I laughed but most of all I felt! This book gives you all the feels! Literally you can't help but to feel each emotion the characters are going through! Anger, desperation, it's all here! I received this book to review and I'm so happy that I came across it because it's a book that shows you no matter what is thrown your way, life can go on!
It does end in a cliff hanger so be warned but don't let it deter you from picking up the amazing book because you won't regret reading it!
I don't want to reiterate the blurb because all I have to say is READ! Both Garrick and knoah are beautiful characters that will steal your heart immediately!
5 UNTOUCHED PERFECTION STARS!! Oh my goodness, this book was pure perfection, it has all the feels we come to love from the fabulous Kristin Mayer. From the first page I was hooked, I could not put it down and the last page caught me off guard...I am still shaking my head. I absolutely loved Garrick and Knoah they are true soul mates and you feel like you know them as family or friends. Kristin Mayer is an amazing storyteller that sucks us readers into the story and never wanting it to end. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Untouched Perfection Kristin Mayer This BOOK was given to me for honest opinion. Garrett and Knoah, OMG so much love, so much intrigue, passionate and very entertaining. There is a part two to this book flawless perfection. I'm on pins and needles to find out WHAT HAPPENS !!

Untouched Perfection starts out with a flash-back in the Prologue; where Knoah originally starts her life; or so she thought. You are next brought into “present” times. This book was very good, exciting, entertaining, sometimes humorous and occasionally questioning what is happening. You are given quite a few range of emotions throughout the whole book. You can feel Knoah’s pain at loosing who she thought was the love of her life, her confusion of her new feelings for Garrick, and her anger at her ex-Mother-in-law and then with her boss. You feel the strong friendship she has with an old friend and with her new roommate/co-worker.
There are different types of drama throughout the whole book, a few surprises, a murder and some sweet, sweet loving! Even as you are reading a section of the book, and feel unsure that you might have missed something, but because of the “open communication” Garrick and Knoah have; you are given the answers very quickly, which is an excellent way to provide the answers; except for a couple questions; like who committed the murder and why.
This is the first book, not sure if there will be more than two; and you are left with a bit of a cliff hanger, with a revelation from one of the so-called enemies. The next book is supposed to be out this year, so I am hoping all will be cleared up then. The cliff-hanger is definitely not enough to deter you from picking up the book and reading it now and patiently waiting (okay not so much) for the next book to come out.
Kristin is a new author for me, and I am very glad I got this book. I don’t normally pick up new authors unless strongly recommended by someone who has read his/her books before. But this time, I am very glad I did. I seriously could not put the book down until I was finished with it. The pace was quick, no lagging scenes or boring dialog. The “lovin” scenes are not too over the top, start out nice and quietly fade to gray.
I would definitely recommend this book to my friends.
Knoah Knox has found the love of her life with Dylan Reynolds. Together since the college the two are on their honeymoon when Dylan is killed in an explosion and Knoah must find a way to go on.
Three and a half years later Knoah is living with Sawyer Wade, a close girlfriend, while the two work at As You Wish Event Planning. Knoah is asked to take on a major client named Garrick Shaw who specifically requested Knoah much to the dismay of her boss, Mickey Rapier.
Soon Knoah finds herself smitten with Garrick and she must decide if she is willing to risk love again with the chance that she could lose or stay hidden from the world. Yet soon that is not her only concern when it appears that someone is after Knoah and they must discover if the person is after Knoah to get at Garrick or if they are after her.
This was a great story about opening yourself to love again but it does end in a cliff-hanger!!!
My heart broke for Knoah right from the beginning and it was like she totally lost herself and broke away from everyone in attempt to try and move on and forget about all the pain she was dealing with. When she met up with one of her closest friends again, Kurt Hendrix, it was like she had permission to try and live again.
Garrick Shaw was intriguing as you knew he was a good guy but you felt like there could be something that had him worried for Knoah which we learn about. Sometimes it's all in who you know that gets you in trouble. I loved how protective he was of Knoah and he really wanted her to understand how much he cared.
The two together were awesome and I loved how Knoah took her time and Garrick waited for everything to happen at the right moment. He was so patient with her and really wanted her trust.
There were so many twists and turns and suspects in who could be after Knoah and why. It definitely had me until the last moment when I was like - OMG!!! I never suspected that!!
This book, omg this book, literally kept me on my toes.... There is so much mystery and suspense, that you don't know what is going to happen. Although it ends in a cliffhanger I still enjoyed it immensely, This is the first I have read from Kristen, and I can guarantee it will not be the last I read from her.. From start to finish I went through all kinds of emotions.
Knoah has been through the ringer, She has endured more heart ache and pain than most characters I read about. She battles depression and is trying to move on with her life with the help of her best friend and therapist. She has a job she enjoys but does not love as an event coordinator. She works with her best friend. She has a family that adores her, and is trying to let them back in, after dealing with so much hurt.
Garrick Shaw is a well known businessmen who buys companies that are in trouble. He grew up making some really bad decisions, but decided to change how he was living for the better, He doesn't do relationships, He doesn't have the time nor the desire to do so. It's not that he is exactly opposed, he has never just felt like anyone was worth it.
On her birthday Knoah goes with her best friend to her brothers office. When they reach the office a man with the bluest eyes pierces her soul. It is an immediate connection for both. Garrick sees her and instantly knows, he has to know her. So he does what he has to do to find out about her and to show her how good they can be, but when someone starts making threats things get crazy. Can their relationship stand the hurricane or is it going to destroy them?
I can not wait to read the next book. This book is a book about second chances and withstanding a brewing storm.
