It is incredibly helpful to place the problems of the moment in the larger context of our whole life. Every period in life has its own purpose, its own task in our development. If we know and accept this purpose we will be less confused.

At one time when a person looked outwards he saw a spiritual world, and when he looked inside himself he found the same thing. What used to be given to him he now has to develop for himself. He can no longer wait passively, but has to actively search. However, anyone who seeks conscious personal development will still have to obey the laws of the phases of development.
