出生於熊本縣，為小說家、漫畫原作者與編劇。2000年獲得第一屆「富士見青年推理大賞」並以得獎作出道，之後2002年獲得「角川娛樂Next賞」。

曾參與《PSYCHO-PASS 心靈判官》電視動畫第一期與劇場版，與虛淵玄共同擔任編劇。

擅長描寫動作場面，尤其是使用槍械、格鬥技的戰鬥。
主要著作有「青春殺手狂歡俱樂部」系列、「GENEZ」系列等等。

It was an okay read since I read an English fan translation of the novel. It's the same story as the movie but with a few differences. The pacing did feel off and come conversations were odd, but I did enjoy learning more details that weren't obvious or mentioned in the film, and as always I particularly liked reading about Leon S. Kennedy, being in his head and discovering his true thoughts and feelings definitely made me love the movie even more and see him in a different light. Rebecca Chambers is as awesome as usual, she's definitely one of my favourite women in the RE universe, I love her intelligence.

Considering i read a translation, i cant speak for any technical aspects of the book, but i love the little differences/extra details that are in the book and not the movie. I like leon’s depiction more in the book definitely. You get to see more of how he’s feeling and his thoughts. 🍔
