My GRE score was kind of what I expected it to be, but not exactly what I wanted. While I certainly would not have done as well without this, there must be better prep materials out there. For example, none of the "Top 200 GRE Words" they listed showed up on my exam. Also, a lot of their advice was pretty obvious. The practice exams were helpful - if nothing else, they provide you with a sense of how long the test is. In short, there's got to be a better prep book out there.

i have to take the gre again this year to get into a doctoral program. apparently my scores from when i took it to get into grad school the first time are too old! well last time i didn't study and really did terribly on the math portion. this time i thought i would study and this guide is great. i take the exam the day after tomorrow. wish me luck! highly recommended with lots of informative tips and strategies.

Now this is the book to have if you're looking for practice. The level of difficulty for the questions is what I was looking for (I was targeting 95-99 percentile for both V/Q), and the realism with the questions is quite good. Of course, I used more than 1 book to study for the exam, and I'm glad that this was one of the first that I used.

Spend the extra few bucks to purchase the more expensive book that comes with a CD. This is useful, but that one includes an extra 2 or 3 online practice tests which are really different from paper versions.

Of the three GRE prep books I got from the library, this was the one with the best explanations and worksheets. ...Too bad it couldn't help me get my math score over 460, but that would've taken sustained effort and repeated beatings.

This isn't the most fun book to read, but the test isn't that fun either. however, it was definitely a helpful study tool. If you have to take the GRE I would recommend a book like this.

A good for knowing the tricks. But not that great for practicing GRE questions. The methods to follow are nice and helped me.
