I went into Austin and Corrine's story with the mindset that I was going to hate this story. Am not a fan of medical dramas. Heck I turn the channel whenever Grey's Anatomy is on. Ms. Wilson changed my viewpoint with this honest and adorable story. Austin likes to live on the edge. The thrill of taking a chance gives him the feeling of accomplishment and he never gets bored. It's worked in his favor so far, why change. Corrine has a slightly less dynamic view of his extreme antics. He needs to grow up and get serious. Having received an ARC of The Doctor's Secret Baby in exchange for an honest review, I decided to take my cue from Austin and try something new. It's hard not to fall for a sexy pilot with something to prove. Along the way I learned something from him. Don't judge, live life to the fullest and surprises are around ever corner. Not only did he and Corrine learn from each other, they doled out great advice in an unforgettable way. Scarlet Wilson made me like a medical romance, not an easy feat.

This is my first book by this author... I have mixed emotions about this book.... I liked the characters, especially Austin, the story line was different which is why i chose it. I thought it was going to be more baby involved, not pregnancy, the only time a baby was mentioned was towards the end of the story, I wish she would have had the baby rather just being pregnant.... With that being said, i like that the characters are so different from each other and balance each other out. I did get aggrivated when she mentioned vaccinations and it being the father's fault that he contracted the diseases... I chose not to vaccinate my child, I'm unvaccinated as well as my family and friends. So that struck a nerve with me. We as unvaccinated people could say the same about people who chose to inject poison into their body's.... I could go on, but I'll leave it at that..... Another thing that aggrivated me was when she mentioned a family staying together because of a baby " never works out" I completely disagree, I know several people who are married and happy about it. Me and my fiance of going on 10 yrs are planning to marry now that we have a 2.5 yr old daughter, she is the biggest blessing in my life... Me and my fiance have had our fair share of arguements, but I feel like our daughter has brought us closer then we ever were before.. so I don't agree with her in that part of the book as well... The ending was really cheesy, Guy gets girl, they get engaged ect.... this was an okay book, I really liked the beginning, but the closer it got to the end i started to dislike it more and more... I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, and I doubt I'll read anymore from this author.....

I've enjoyed all the books I have read from this author as they are all very well written. This one was no exception and I liked that the story was a little different as the hero was in the space program and the heroine was his doctor (plus they were both older)

However, something was missing this time - I didn't really feel the love and I should have. The sex scenes were 'behind closed doors' and I think that may have been the missing link for me - one minute it was leading up to a steamy scene and the next it was the morning after, which was a bit deflating, especially since the lead up to the bedroom scenes were so well written.

I know lots of readers do not like to read the intimate details, but in this case I think they could have enhanced the story and boosted it to a 5 star read for me. I was also confused as to how the pregnancy came about (apart from the obvious - LOL), since Corinne was a doctor and they were both intelligent, older adults.

My comments above aside, I'll still be reading lots more books from Ms Wilson !

Scarlet Wilson is my absolute favourite author...the mixture of suspense and romance she cleverly weaves throughout her writing keeps me gripped...I loved this story and the research she has obviously done really shone through...the issue of vaccination was a bit unexpected at first but then I remembered the true story about the Apollo 13 pilot who was exposed to german measles and replaced on the mission at the last minute...well done Scarlet...this attention to detail is what really sets your writing apart...I loved the complexity of Austin...high achiever, with a lifetime ambition to be in space or was it really his ambition? then the twist at the end with another near miss...I absolutely was not expecting that...thank you for another fabulous read :)

I love the cover I think its pretty very and all and it suits the title of the book. My only problem that the title in general doesn't match the book at all. I mean the only time a baby was mentioned was when you're already 80% into the book. Other then that this book had sweetness between Corrine and Austin. I loved that banter that happens between the two, they were opposites butting heads but they found love in each other and was sweet. I thought Austins backstory was interesting and why he chose the career that he was in and I loved his choice in the end how it turned out. Overall I thought that this book was pretty good and I enjoyed it. The only thing throwing me off is that title.
