I was lucky enough to be a beta reader for Brenda Kennedy's story. In typical Brenda fashion, she draws you in to the story and makes you feel like part of a family. This story is about Abel who is a part of Ms. Kennedy's previous trilogy. He has come home for a temporary stay, or so he tells himself. There was just enough included in this story to get you interested and ready to read the entire series when it comes out. Another great story by another great author!!
Not many authors can make you go from disliking a character to darn near falling in love with them!! :) Was lucky to recieve an arc of Brenda Kennedy's story which tells about a previous character Abel. Let me tell ya, if you haven't read her work yet, you need to!! This is a must read and yet that will leave you wanting more!!!
This group of stories about Christmas miracles and second chances is so good. Each story is unique and keeps you reading. I finished all the books in two days. I just could not put it down.
This set was awesome. While all were great the one that had me in tears was Randi Alexander's Christmas Surprise on MacLean Mountain.
Christmas Surprise is deserving of the Hallmark award. This story had me all teary eyed from the start. You could just feel for the couple -split up at Christmas time meeting in a cold café on a snowy evening. Booker had his pride but he also had his love. Sybil was just looking for more ways to see and feel that love. All they had to do was learn to show that they still loved each other. Not so hard for two people that have been hurt and are stubborn right? It is Christmas and there might be time for that miracle. I'm still weepy eyed.
I thought the authors did a good job developing their characters and storylines. The stories are not without strife but it does show that we can learn to live and forgive and have a second chance at love
: Christmas Surprise on MacLean Mountain by New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Randi Alexander 5 meows I love Randi Alexander. Christmas Surprise on MacLean Mountain is a breathtaking story. It is a bit different than Randi's other stories as there are less sex and a sadder tone. I nearly cried a time or two. Booker is hot as all of Randi's leading men. Who wouldn't love a doctor that gets out in the snow on a horse to help an old man who is hurt badly? This stands alone well, and I highly recommend it
Trust Us, A Rivers Edge Christmas Novella, by Amazon Bestselling Author Lacey Black 4 meows This is an excellent story, don't get me wrong. My biggest issue was I didn't see much holiday in it. I haven't read this series, so I didn't know anything about Maddox and Avery. I do think this is a story worth going back and reading the others in the series. This one is also a bit hotter than the others sex wise.
Hoped by Best Selling Author in Romance Vicki Green A sequel novella to Trusted (Touched #3), 5 meows OMG, I fell in love with Harley. This is such a sweet story. I am most definitely going to read the others to find out more about Harley's past, but there was sufficient backstory that I knew enough to enjoy this and want more!
Struggling to Hold On by Amazon Best Selling Author in Crime Fiction and Mystery DB Jones 5 meows This was another favorite. I loved the struggles of Tommy, and my heart went out to him. There were some suspenseful moments in an otherwise sweet romance. I can't wait to read more on this couple and family! This is another I will be following to find more of his story!
A Country Christmas by Best-Selling Author Brenda Kennedy 5 Meows I fell in love with Abel from the first paragraph. I loved this story. There is so much country charm, and the way this town gets together to help one another is a perfect dream. If only every town in real life were like this.. there would be world peace. I cannot wait to read this series and hope its soon! I will be stalking Brenda to find out!
The Christmas Curmudgeon by Kimberly Kennedy 5 Meows I thought this was a very cute story. I liked that it was unique with a woman hating the holidays, being burned by an ex and now thrust into a small country town from the big city. I also liked the interracial storyline. I loved James. Who wouldn't love a sexy Marine (I would've liked more on this and more about his career that he left behind)?
This is a charming romance with a heartwarming end. I adored how Nesha was thrust into the holidays she dislikes so much.
Wendy’s Wish by Amazon Bestselling Author Anna Kristell 4 Meows This is another magnificent sweet story. I give Wendy credit for waiting five years on Brennan that is some love. She has an excellent friend to take her on a cruise to make her Christmas wish come true. I hate to say I wished more for them to unite than I did her and Brennan to get together. However, it’s a beautiful story, and I liked it. I do wish I had fallen more in love with Brennan. Anne Welch – Carolina Hope Unexpected - A Wounded Souls Novella by Amanda Lanclos 4 meows This is a good story. It is sweet with some sad notes and a happy ending. There is some backstory to fill you in if you haven't read the stories before but I highly suggest you read the others. I have read the first and was still a bit lost at times. I will say I sat worried through the story. I loved the ending a lot!
A Chosen Christmas by Alisa Mullen This story accompanies Unmarked: Sean’s Story. I recommend you read Unmarked:Seans Sory and any of the Unmarked books. I have not, and I didn't get quite the enjoyment from this story as I think I would have otherwise. However; it is a lovely story. It fits the Christmas Miracle theme quite well. I wish I had known how Sean and Aoife met and fell and love. The storyline does have some suspense and is a beautiful romance.
Carolina Hope by Amazon Bestselling Author Anne Welch I liked this story. It is a lovely romance and a beautiful second chance story. There are some sadness and a happy ending. I do wonder if there is more to this story though as there was one storyline not quite ended. I don't want to spoil the main reason she comes home)
Amazing book. As soon as I began reading this book, I lost all sense of self, as though becoming part of each story. This author immediately captivates you in her magical and intriguing web with a well paced story line and filled with characters who are so in depth that you find yourself feeling like you know them on a personal level. Her imagination and perception of how this story should really be told is completely outstanding and this book deserves way more than five stars. I was completely consumed with this fascinating tale and I know that you will be too. This book had me completely consumed from the very first page. I love this author and her styles of writing. To the author, Great Job and keep up the hard word. Us avid readers appreciate you more than you know.
I really enjoyed this set of 10 Christmas Miracles stories. I give the whole set a 4.5* rating. They each tugged at the heart and left me with a feel good feeling. While I have been struggling with some of my own problems, I really needed these type stories. Some dealt with some really serious issues but they all resolved with their own miracle. I've marked all of these authors so I can find more of their work.
This is a heartwarming set of sweet short stories. Each story captures the imagination with characters that have depth and deal with real-life issues. This group of authors have unique styles that complement one another. Donating the proceeds from the sale of the book to a wonderful charitable cause shows how big their hearts are. Bravo, well done!
10 authors. 10 new novellas. One great cause! So amazing to be apart of this anthology where 100% of the proceeds benefit St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
