Late one night, while driving home after a shift, Richmond City Detective Brayden Milbourne, finds a man stumbling alongside the road, bloody and confused. Shocking enough to find him; more shocking is that Brayden knows the man. He and Jamie Ketelsen had hooked up during a memorable weekend not long ago.Fun then, but now, Jamie is a CIA field agent with a major problem. He can’t remember his name or how he got on that dark road. He doesn’t remember Brayden either. The situation only gets more complicated when it becomes obvious that Division P, the government agency that deals with psychic agents, needs to be involved. Can a man who only has the present connect with a man who might have to arrest him for his forgotten and dangerous past?
I enjoyed this story and I loved Brayden and Jamie together, some great hurt/comfort here, my favorite, and I liked the whole idea of Division P, but I guess to me it would've been better if the story focused more on the relationship and less on the whole politics and investigation thing. It became kinda repetetive to me the way Jamie had to relive the attack again and again... Overall pretty good story and I think someday I'll read some more Division P stories!
Definitely not my favorite AR Moler book, but a must read for fellow M/M romance hurt/comfort junkies. This one was too short, replied too heavily on the other Devision P books for clarification and ended too abruptly.
If you read it, I hope you enjoy it! AR Moler is an auto-buy for me. I'd read a recipe book by her if she wrote one.
Yet another great Division P story. I'm totally in love with this world and all the great and interesting characters in the books. And many of them we get to see over and over again and it's always great to see what is happening with them and how the MC of the current book sees the old characters.
This time we have new main couple and interesting investigation mixing police, CIA and Division P into a intricate dance of jurisdiction, need-to-know and who actually has the means to help Jamie. All trying to piece together what actually happened to him and who is responsible for it. And what, exactly, is Jamie's part in the mess. There is a lot happening in the book and I'm sad to say that again things are left unfinished (still not read Braided lives 2 and I'm still little miffed about how things were left in the first book). Hopefully we get second book soon and the bigger plot gets somewhere fast. I want to know!
For me it had good mix of mystery, hurt/comfort and romance and I really enjoyed reading it. Very good entertainment.
Man I hope this is the start to a series because there are a LOT of unanswered questions. I want more of Jamie and Brayden! This got off to a surprising start and just continued to get stranger. I can't wait for more!
This started off really interesting, then it went deep with someone being psychic and then progressed deeply into psychology. Don't get mean wrong, it was still good, just a touch out of my range. When a CIA agent is found staggering half naked down a road with horrible injuries and signs of mental torture, that's when things get intense. A very powerful tale, a kind of manly story I thought. A decent read but with a very frustrating ending.
REVIEW:This is a story that should be right after the hearts of all the hurt/ comfort fans out there (which includes me!). The connection between Brayden and Jamie is strong and intense, made so not only through their mutual physical attraction, but also through the psi abilities the two of them share. I liked the whole concept of this book; Division P and its people made an interesting and colorful backdrop for the suspenseful mystery surrounding the cause of Jamie’s memory loss. The plot moved along at a fast pace, sometimes comfortingly predictable, sometimes surprising me with yet another twist. Kept me turning pages. This book is part of a series (“Division P-Series”), and it shows. Although it can be read as a standalone (like I did; I haven’t read the other “Division P” books) thanks to rather extensive background explanations, there are many side characters showing up who apparently starred in other books—each interesting, but remaining sketchy at best due to this book’s short format. At the same time, introducing so many characters in such a short book took away page space from the main pairing. Overall, both Jamie’s and Brayden’s characters struck me as fragmentary, reduced to their momentary issues instead of coming alive as full-fleshed personalities. Also, I found the story ended somewhat abruptly; things remained unsaid and issues unsolved toward the end. Appropriate for a series book, though—the ending left me wishing to read more about the story and curious about the eventual solution to the mystery. All in all, “Begin And End With You” is a fast, enjoyable, suspenseful read that left me slightly frustrated for the fact that I wanted more Jamie and Brayden, right now. Well, I guess that’s not a bad thing, then.
This was a pretty solid little story. Nice premise, likeable characters, interesting enough plot. There were some issues with it like an unenjoyable ending and some stiff writing in places, but overall it was cute.
I liked both of the main characters. Brayden was your typical alpha male type personality, but he was also really caring and sweet and really self-sacrificing when it came to Jamie. I could totally understand why Jamie instinctively felt safe with him even when he didn’t remember him. Jamie was probably my favorite part about this story, I totally felt for him. The extensiveness of what happened to him has left him completely broken, but it hasn’t left him beaten. He’s a complete mess and relies completely on Brayden for a sense of stability, but he’s still a fighter and he’s still working hard to regain a sense of normalcy. I loved the dichotomy of such a needy character filled with such strength. The romance between them was sweet enough but nothing that burned up the pages. Honestly, I liked the quiet moments between them the most.
I love the whole concept of this story. Division P is an interesting, if not original concept, but A.R. Moler has given it a revamp which seems real and gritty and believable. I love the characters in this story. They are hard and tough but show a soft, caring, gentle side that could have seemed out of place but doesn't because it has been written well into the story. I have to admit I did keep thinking there would be a little betrayal of trust within the ranks of Division P, and the story seemed to end with some things left unsaid and unsorted. It left me wanting more from the story itself; the main characters and the minor characters too. This is surely a good sign. There is more out there from this author and I will definitely be reading more about Division P. I want more from this particular story line though. I hope there will be.
Okay, I do like this author's work a great deal, but I think there was probably some other books I should have read first and I was disappointed this ended when it did. I know on this page it says "Division P" and I clicked on that but I could really tell which other books were directly related to this one. I suppose you don't have to have read the others but I was curious about some of the people in this book. I did find the whole connection with Syria and Raqqa interesting giving how things have changed in Syria and Iraq in the last 6 months. But I'd definitely want more as it was just kind of left hanging with an obvious threat still there. I presume there will be more in the series. I'll keep an eye out for it because I enjoy reading books by this author.
I enjoyed the story and the romance.I'm intrigued by the physic element. But I was disappointed in the ending. The story was only partially wrapped up and no clues given to a sequel with Brayden and Jaime.
