The White
Sometime in the 19th century, an Inuit teenager's soon to be wife and parents and tragically killed in an accident. Hopelessly lost after facing an unknown future, the young man listens to his grandfather tell of a far off land, where trees grow vertically from the ground, where people ride on large, dog-like creatures, and where people are twice the size of a full-grown Inuit.
With no hope of starting a family of his own in his village, the teen ventures off with his dog, Akiak, in search of the land his grandfather spoke of. Facing terrible storms, avalanches, and ferocious beasts, the two face the limits of survival, while charging into the unknown.
Does the land exist? Was the teen's grandfather right? The only way he can find out is to face the white.
