Cuckoo

Rate this book
My book is titled Cuckoo. I chose this title because the story connoted by this word has signified great importance in my and my mother’s lives. My mother was called a “cuckoo” because she left her daughter, akin to the custom of a cuckoo bird, who throws its eggs in another bird’s nest instead of raising her chicks herself. My story starts with a woman who without hesitation chose a free, dissolute life and cared only about herself and her own needs. Over the course of her life, this woman struggled with her decision of choosing a freedom over her daughter. However, the main story centers on her daughter, who from the day of her birth was viewed as an unnecessary frivolity to her parents. As she grew up, and without knowing it herself, she learned to be strong and useful to others. All the hardships which life brought her came with an unforgettable lesson. My aim in writing this book is to urge readers to make the right choices in the lives they design for themselves. I hope that my book will help readers to understand that all our life’s difficulties only make us stronger and stronger. All in all, I hope that after they finish reading my book they will understand that they must NEVER GIVE UP.
