Magazine photographer Bethany thought the nightmare of her past was over, that she could finally move on without fear. She thought wrong. Thank goodness she won’t have to face it alone. She has Nathan and Derrick to help her. But Bethany wants a little more than just their help.
Derrick and Nathan are used to sharing women, but never a woman they both have feelings for. While they struggle to get past the jealousy and tension of their joint seduction, they have a bigger, more important battle—against the monster determined to claim her for himself.

Hi. I’m an erotic romantic suspense author. I write for Liquid Silver Books, Loose-ID, and Ellora’s Cave.
I live in the land of dreams, where alpha men are tender, heroines are strong and sassy, and villains are brutal and conniving. When not deep in the mind of my next serial killer, ghost or futuristic space pilot, I can be found in the mountains of TN, spending time with family and friends. At least until the next story calls.
This is my homebase. Make yourself comfortable.

Growing up, Bethany had been abused and raped by her psychotic step-father. She testified and had him put in jail after he tried to kill her. Afterwards, her mother blamed her for shat happened and booted her out, as a teenager.
Jacob, a Hugh Heifner type guys (owns same kind of magazine, has mansion, has lots of young girls around him all the time), likes to help out young ladies whenever he sees one he knows needs it. He spies Beth working at a strip club and sees a lonely, desperate teenagers in need of dire help. Jacob invites Bethany to stay with him and his "family" hoping to be a positive father figure in her life.
Jump ahead 5 years, I think, and Bethany has not only gone to college and been a model for the magazine, but works as a top photographer for it. Bethany has heard about what Derrick (Jacob's reluctant son) and Nathan like to do with women in their spare time. Even though they've flirted with her over the years, she always thought they were kidding - even though she hoped they weren't.
Derrick and Nathan have been drooling over Beth for a long time now, and now they think she's ready for what they have to offer her. Except when one of them gets 'extra' close to her first, the jealousy bug starts to burrow it's way into the situation. The guys argue, tension is high but Beth can't decide between the two of them - she loves them both.
Meanwhile, Beth's crazy step-father has been released form prison early and is out to get his revenge on her. He kills her mother, whom she is estranged from and plots an evil plan to show Bethany who she really belongs to and to take out the men he thinks has touched what belongs to him.
Attempts are made on lives, there are parties abound and lots of hot lovin' going on. The trio concoct a plan to trap the evil-stepfather and low and behold HEA.
I liked this one quite a bit. I enjoyed the action/danger element a lot. Although there was a lot of hot, hot lovin' going on - it wasn't PWOP and I liked that. I liked the contrast between the men: Nathan was happy go lucky and tender while Derrick was serious and intense. I think if there had been tears, it totally would have been a 5 - as it is it's a very high 4.
Bethany lives in a playboy-like mansion and is the "beard" girlfriend (one of many) of Jacob, a Hugh Hefner-like magazine owner. She had been traumatically raped by a stepfather as a teen, and then taken in by Jacob when she was forced to strip for a living. After 5 years in the mansion (it even has a grotto, too, just like the playboy mansion!), she has blossomed and become a photographer for the magazine. After years of crushing on Derrick (Jacob's son) and his friend Nathan, she decides to try them both on for size. The two men, who have always shared their women, feel there is no way they can share Bethany. She means too much, however, she feels she could not choose between the two. When her rapist stepfather is paroled, the plot thickens and this turns out to be a suspenseful M/F/M menage.
A quick read with some suspense. Nothing particularly interesting about the story nor particularly boring. There was no build-up in regards to the love between Bethany, Derrick, and Nathan. They just say Derrick and Nathan were interested pursuing Bethany for a few years but didn't do anything until now, pretty much randomly. The story was just okay and the suspense was pretty minimal if not obvious.
Sweet story. Grammar and punctuation wasn't terrible, but there were several instances of extra words in a sentence. The author kept confusing Nathan and Derrick, saying Nathan did this when it was obvious it was supposed to be Derrick and vice versa.
I don't know where to start with this review. I gave it two stars only because the sex scenes were fairly well written. There, I said something positive.
It was impossible to suspend my disbelief because the premise and characters are unbelievable. A Hugh Heffner like character living in a Playboy like mansion, with multiple "girlfriends" and he doesn't have sex with any of them - Bullshit! Our main character, raped by her sadistic abusive step father for years before she escaped and set him to jail all before she turned 18. Hugh's son, a cop, who hates the magazine and the girls because they took his father away from him after his mother died, a father who is the recipient of his animosity. His best friend, collage roommate whom he tag team girls with, is his father's head of security. (Oh yeah, that's believable) Of course the icing on the cake is that they both fall in love with our main character, and she indicated their first threesome only days after having sex for the first time years after her stepfather last raped her. Bullshit! And these two alpha males who have fallen in love for the first time in their lives, are OK with the other one fucking his girl. Triple bullshit.
This book had remnants of weirdness - and it had nothing to do with the menage relationship. Playboy mansion? A Hugh Hefner character who happens to be the father of one of the heroes? This wasn't too terribly bad - halfway decent plot, steamy sex scenes, etc. I am a little surprised/disbelieving that a woman who was raped and abused by her stepfather could so easily step into a menage relationship with two alpha males like this. I also wasn't a huge fan of the jealousy and trust issues that kept popping up. I hate the question, "Which one should I choose?" It gets irritating when the heroine is so wishy-washy that she can't decide she wants both of them equally and isn't going to make a choice. Although I did like the repartee between these two guys when they were getting along - especially the awkward shower scene.
Oh and a major negative to this was the constant confusion between Derrick and Nathan - the author was obviously confused about which one was doing what at different times and kept getting their names mixed up. This frustrated me to no end.
