The 7-Day Back Pain Cure: How Thousands of People Got Relief Without Doctors, Drugs, or Surgery

Rate this book
Most people "throw out" their back and think that's why their back hurts, but nothing could be further from this truth. Discover underlying, hidden, causes of back pain-where pain really comes from and how to stop in once and for all fast. Popular treatment approaches like pain medications, muscle relaxants, steroid injections, surgery, chiropractic treatments, acupuncture, and massage therapy may be helpful in relieving pain temporarily, but they often fail to deliver lasting relief because they don't address what's actually causing the pain. The "secret" to fast, long lasting relief is to focus your treatment on addressing the "hidden" causes of your pain, not just the symptoms, and The 7-Day Back Pain Cure shows you how.

I want to give this 3 stars, but I'm giving it 4 because there is information in here that I haven't seen anywhere else. If it works, I'll give it a five. Haha!

I was bored most of the book except for about 25 pages, but that was due to my own healthcare knowledge of knowing basics that I still can't fathom how many don't know, like the amount of water they should be drinking, or the problems that can arise from not getting enough sleep.

Barring the very basic information I had to speed read through, and the occasional product pitch, which actually showed products that I approve of, this had some solid information in those few pages that would help many I think. I don't even know what type of problem I have. Before I embark on any specific remedy I need to know the actual problem I think, so I can pinpoint my treatment accordingly.

Very good information if you have back problems that are not bone issues... I have nerve issues and I got a lot of answers and help from this book.

This book had some interesting information on back pain. However, most of it was covered in the first three pages and then Cannone just kept circling around and around the same information. Like an accordian player that squeezes and expands the same box, he never added anything new. On top of that, the book was filled with go to this website, save money on this, etc.
Dissappointing in that I thought it would have so much more information and specifics than what it did.
Good in that it covered new ideas I had not already been exposed to.
Get it and SKIM for the new stuff, don't buy it, not worth the money.
Basically:
1) Try yoga, chiropractic re-alignment, etc.
2) Make sure that daily activities, routines are not continuing to mess up the back-keep it out of alignment
3) Massage can help alleviate the pain until you get back in alignment
4) Stay away from surgery and most doctors
5) Eat and live healthily
6) Eliminate/cut down on stress
That's about it. Now you don't have to read the book!

Aside from being a promotional aid to get people to purchase the various pain relief products on the author's website, I actually gleaned some helpful information on possible sources of back pain that I wouldn't have known otherwise.

While this book has some great information and suggestions, it does not contain a back pain cure. Those of us with some common sense no doubt realized this before reading it, however, I find the title to be disingenuous. It also suffers from poor writing and a need for editing, as it is extremely repetitive and tiresome at times. Despite this, it provides a holistic view of where back pain comes from and the myriad of factors that can cause or exacerbate it, and offers suggestions on how to implement changes in your life to manage it and live in a healthier and more mindful way, as well as specific techniques or therapies that may alleviate the pain. It also challenges the reader to take responsibility for the pain, and encourages a mindset of proactive investigation of the aspects of life that need some attention, such as diet, exercise, stress, etc. There is never a quick fix for any kind of chronic pain, and adopting the right attitude and being willing to put in the time to determine the underlying causes is critical to getting relief. While it is a shameless plug for the author's back pain relief system and products (which must be purchased separately), I still think it is worth reading with an open mind.

I found the book interesting. Some new, to me, information but, it is hard not to think that he is really pushing his website and products. I did find some good exercises on his website that I will try. Most of them I was aware of through yoga, but not really aware that they would be good for the back.

The book is worth reading.

If you are new to back pain, this book will guide you through the various options to head back toward wellness. For those of us who have trod the daunting road already, this is pretty much a compilation of everything you have already tried.

Disappointing. The book doesn't back up the claim of the title. You need to go view all the videos.

First of all, I have yet to complete all the steps recommended to relieve my back pain, so I can't yet say that I've been cured. However, I have to say that even if I don't end up cured, I still got a lot out of this book.

I've been a runner all my life and experienced piriformis syndrome a year and a half ago that pinched my sciatic nerve. Not only have I not been able to run more than a mile ever since it happened, but I have a constant ache in my piriformis coupled with lower back pain that's been an issue ever since I had my first child in my 20's. I've been in search of back pain relief for decades, but it wasn't until the last year and a half that it became a priority. I came across this book at a thrift store last weekend, and it spoke to me at every I page turned.

The author explains things that hadn't been explained to me before. A lot of his tips require a change in routine and a lot of work. He says himself that this won't be easy. I feel he gave me the tools to fix my back and piriformis, and now I need to start applying them. He does push his products and website too much in the book, but I was getting such good information that I was able to look past that. I feel that I got hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars of good advice from him.

I'm looking forward to trying out his recommendations for awhile and will update this review when/if I have results.

UPDATE - I haven't had an issue with my back since picking up this book. After exploring the many ideas in this book, I was able to figure out that yoga was hurting my back. I introduced muscle balance exercises into my life, and I'm a new person. It was all about alignment for me. Doctors, physical therapist and massage therapists weren't able to help. But this book did. I now wake up in the middle of the night and am startled because I feel no back pain. Its amazing!

This book is basically an advertisement for the author's "Muscle Balance Therapy." He touts this as the end all be all to treatment of back pain with the addition of his trigger point release table, his supplements, and his inversion table. The book itself sheds very little light on how to appropriately treat your own back pain without purchasing more of his material or products. He also lumps all other providers of treatment for back pain in general categories which I feel is inappropriate. Not all physical therapists practice physical therapy the same. Not all physicians practice medicine the same. The point is every patient is different and should be treated differently. While the auther may run his practice this way, I believe that his book is little more than an ad to purchase his more expensive products as the only way to "cure" back pain.

I saw an ad for this, I got it for the cost of shipping (it's probably still available at that cost). I pulled it out of my TBR pile today because my back has really been causing me a lot of pain lately. The first half of the book has a lot of common sense to it and I found myself nodding a lot and identifying with most of what the author had to say. I gave this book 2 stars because the remainder of the book is basically advertisements for the author's products that are not all that cheap. The main thing is a back care system that runs $47 for an all digital version and $97 for the dvds. Although I'm turned off by his marketing scheme of reeling in people with a book that doesn't solve problems but refers you to more product, I may buy his system anyway because I could identify so completely and am really tired of my back problems.

So there's some good info in here, but nothing revolutionary. What might have been really helpful - the actual videos/assistance in ascertaining which muscle imbalances you have - are available only on the author's website for an additional charge. It feels like a scam to read 200 pages only to find out that it's an elaborate marketing scheme.

The 7 day Back pain cure, the title offers a lot but delivers on very little. The book does offer up some tidbits of helpful advice but the most promising of aids is hidden on a website at additional cost.
One might actually get more out of watching an actual infomercial as opposed to this book.
If you are seeking helpful advice for chronic back pain this is not the answer.

I received an email about this - how do these people find me? Anyway, I sent for the book, which is free if you live in the US, but cost me about £10 in postage.
I've found some very useful information, and general tips and am glad to be in touch with this guy.

Learning about bio feedback finally. I think it is working. If you eat beets and your stomach hurts, don't eat beets. Body send you a message. Duh. I thought it was more complicated.

Without the redundant examples and the needless metaphors, the useful parts of this 195-page book take about 25 pages.
