This book has a bit of history for me. Every time I got arrested and put in prison or cells in some country or other, I started to read this book. But, I always got released before I had finished the book. Then one day, I got a big sentence, and thought 'Hey, I have time to read this book now.' And sure enough, I was held for long enough to read it, and a bit longer, but again, I got released. But I had at last read the whole book this time. Thus, this book probably means more to me to many people.
Overall though, I thought it was a really good, well written book, and I thoroughly enjoyed the escapism of reading it. Transported back into another time, another place.
Sorry, not your average review, but I had to say it.
Just for reference, I am not a murderer or drug dealer or anything like that. I just had a sorta cavalier fashion to different countries rules and regulations. And some countries didn't like what I wrote. Or did, lol. I have not been arrested for some years now, since the Berlin Wall came down, but who knows, maybe I will get arrested for what I have said in my latest book. Then I will have to find a new book to take the place of this one.
