James Rhodes, the author of 27 novels, was reared in Nebraska but is a California transplant. Currently retired and devoted full time to writing, he's had over 90 short stories published--mostly in the juvenile field. He's also had three one act plays published.
I enjoyed this story. it was well-written, well paced, and though I was able to guess one plot twist, I was quite caught off guard by another. It was creepy without involving a spernatural element. If this genre is your cup of tea, you won't be disappointed. I plan to read many more of this author's books.
