Simple Socks: Plain and Fancy

Rate this book
With only two measurements, knitters can make customized socks. The unusual heel and toe shaping method works fantastically well.

I like that PGR gives standards and recipes for socks. Yes, she has helped me learn to enjoy socks more (love a short row heel turn). The book is (to me) is written in "knitter's language"- which I don't really understand. (But managed to still figure out the directions). But overall, I highly recommend. There ar e no patterns per se, but just methods.

This book is good for those who are looking for understanding of socks (and mittens), to write their own patterns, or to just "wing it"
