Miki Aihara (相原実貴 AIHARA Miki) is a Japanese female manga artist noted for creating the manga series Hot Gimmick and the series Tokyo Boys & Girls. She debuted with the series Lip Conscious in the manga magazine Betsucomi.
Junko, a 27 years old English teacher, went to a matchmaking session in hope of finding a suitable husband. Instead, she found this creepy ass Buddhist monk that won't stop stalking her around.
Despite wanting to go out with other male characters, including a university friend
a hot foreigner teacher who later turns out to be a major douchebag that thinks Japanese women are gloryholes
and a cross-dressing high school student

this monk keeps preventing her to do so. And you know what happen? They had sex. What the hell????
Too bad for our monk, he needs a wife who would be happy to stay at home, make tea, and arrange flowers, y'know, traditional material. But Junko's dream is to travel abroad and continue teaching English. So how do you convince the 'love of your life' to agree to marry you and be a housewife? Simple.
You lock her up, literally locking her in a small room in your temple and pray that people won't find out. Right? I mean, if you let her go then she'd leave anyway, and you'd lose your face and turn out to be a loser. Right?
Junko doesn't get angry. She thinks he's sweet. Sweet. He likes her too much that he can't bear the thought of her being with other men.
They had sex afterwards, again. What the fuck??????????
Considering how the author has a huge case of rape fetish, this is not surprising after I read introduction, but nonetheless doesn't make it any less uncanny. Side effects might include wanting to avoid ikebana, tea ceremonies, and anything that have to do with this manga for quite a while. I've never drop a manga series before, but I can't guarantee that I'll finish this one.
And guess what guys? It's been made into ... A TELEVISION SERIES!
0.2 stars for art only. As of now, this has won the honorable prize of "Yuki's Worst Book of All Time."
Unfortunately I couldn't finish this series. The response of the main character being locked up is not something that is inline with today's values and beliefs have trouble continue reading.
