Ever wondered what happens when Parnell Good Time Girls get pregnant? Julia de Souza has the perfect Parnell life - lovely job, lovely friends, lovely apartment and lovely new husband. The next ten years are all mapped out leading all the way to the four-bedroom villa in a leafy suburb with a big backyard for the kids. But when lovely husband Gus is caught in bed with his best friend Ed (as in Edward, not Edwina) Jools finds herself suddenly single with a gay ex-husband. Things rapidly go from bad to worse and before you can wait for the blue line on the pregnancy test to come into focus Jools is unemployed, up the duff - and not at all sure who the father is. Is it her charming but treacherous ex-boss, her bisexual ex husband or the foxy one night stand from the drunken night at the Irish pub? If only she could remember his name...But for every ten bad turns there's a good one and this funny, poignant story of a life-changing year in life of Jools and her three best mates signals the return of Kate Langdon from her own experience of first time motherhood and watch out, she's feistier and funnier than ever.
So so bad! Heroine just takes husband back after he dumps her and cheats on her! It also really bothered me that she never confronted him about taking his mistress (her friend), to Hawaii where they originally went on honeymoon!

I liked this book it was so good it talks about a kid who needed money to go to college school so she babysat kids for her job. but it wasn't easy for her to make money for college.
Lighthearted and fun enough, lovely to have a book set in my own country. A few terfy moments had me wincing but felt authentic regardless. Felt a but rushed at the end.
Fun light read. Chapters alternate between characters who were friends many years ago, but whose stories do not really connect now, which was a bit annoying until the end when you get a sort of happy-ever-after. Ending was a bit flat for me, but still enjoyed the book.
Making Lemonade was an easy read. The perfect book for reading on the beach. A true to life reading about life not being perfect but you can still make lemonade!
