Fav book of the moment. Would die to meet and greet the author. Literally changed my outlook on world and I feel 10 pounds lighter somehow. So inspiring, we all need a good Katie cow in our lives. Definitely going to read to the grandchildren. Live, laugh, love, and follow the leader🤱🏼

Loved this book as a kid. I love the solution to freeing Katy the cow, when she falls down a hole.

The Curious Cow by Esther K. Meeks, Pictures by Mel Pelarsky, Hindi language translation by Vidushak- Children’s Illustrated Colour Picture Book- The book narrates the story of a curious cow named Katie. Katie. Katie resides in the agricultural farm of her owner farmer. Katie is a curious cow. She is curious about (1) what is the taste of the grass in the neighbours farm, (2) what the laundry tastes like (3) what is cooked in the kitchen. Katie attempts flowers of the neighbours field, she eats the drying clothes, she moves on the stairs and enters the kitchen. But in each of her curiosity, she gets her into trouble. One day Katie falls in a deep hole in the other part of the field. Farmer calls the police and the fire extinguisher. Water is filled in the dry hole, Katie swims and is pulled up. Thus, Katie understands that she must remain an obedient cow. Coloured illustrations help the reader in relating to the contents of the story. I have read the Hindi language translation of this book.

Cute book! I read the French edition, and it was pretty straightforward to read. However, for some reason or another, "la champ" wasn't in the back of the book, so I had to spend a few minutes looking the word up 😅

But, but, "Katy wanted to know." Curiosity is a *good* thing! LFL find that nobody needs to read, imo.

Found this darling book about Katie the curious cow at the DI for 25 cents, couldn't resist it! It's an old book- only cost 35 cents new, and the illustrations are great and you have to laugh as Katie decides maybe she doesn't need to be quite so curious...
