What I Learned Before 30 is a collection of memoirs written by Drew Davis. Each vignette spotlights part of Davis's life, either at school, college or as he ventured out into the world to find his place within it. The stories are varied, some humorous and others more sombre in tone. Unfortunately the manuscript is unedited, which leaves the narrative unbalanced. Many of the memoirs had so much potential but the plot holes and unexplained detail were quite distracting at times. I'd love to see what the elements of this memoir could become in the hands of a skilled editor.

Wow! A vulnerable look behind the scenes at an incredible journey!

Who is Drew Davis? Intelligent, emotional, courageous, gritty, honest, inspiring, hospitable... This book surprised me in its depth and authenticity. I'm hoping he follows it up with a sequel 10 years from now!
