Unexpected coming of age challenges.

Becoming an adult is difficult enough. To have one's whole understanding of life turn upside down also frightening. Figuring it all out on one own even more so. Interesting beginning to what must be a great series.

This book is a great start to the Lightworker Series. One thing that I love was that Courtney's dreams reminded me of a younger version of myself, but that's where the comparison ends. Learning me is a fast paced story, filled with twists. I especially enjoyed the scenes between Courtney and her parents, and Courtney and Sam. Can't wait to read the next book in the series!

An unusual story from a talented writer who shows great talent for building a story that will hold your interest from beginning to end….

I have to say that this one was a joy to read. Have you ever had a dream? Courtney dreams of becoming an actress, and when that opportunity arises, she finds herself fighting against her parents who forbid her to take the chance of becoming the star of an Indie movie.

But why do her parents object to her becoming an actress? That’s when the book starts to become extremely addictive. As Courtney tries to work her way through their objections, she starts to discover the truth.

Weaved with an extremely talented pen—this is a book that will hold your interest and will have you asking for the sequel. Courtney is an extremely well developed character. Sam is well done, too. These characters are so well created the reader finds himself, or herself, rooting for them every step of the way.

The anticipation in this book is so strong you cannot stop turning pages for a second. Even if this is not your usual genre—even if you are not particularly drawn to the description—you should get a copy of this book and become immersed in one of the best books I’ve read this year. It’s well worth your time, and once you’re done, you need to start a petition to get more books from this author. Seriously. She’s that good!

Courtney has been dealing with overprotective parents most of her life. They wouldn't let her be featured in the local paper when she won a spelling bee, and they hate her goal of becoming an actress. While they let her join the drama club, they draw the line at trying out for a film. Frustrated, Courtney sets out to find out why her parents won't encourage her dreams. After exploring the dusty attic, she thinks she might have discovered the truth, but there's way more to this mystery than she ever imagined. She finds herself on a the beginning of a journey that will lead to self-discovery and a hint of the paranormal.

This first book int he Lightworker Series will have you glued to your seat from beginning to end. The author unwinds a stunning mystery. Just when you think you have it figured out, there is a curve ball that will leave you even more surprised. The book ends in a cliffhanger, but don't worry, because book 2, Exploring Me is available now.
