If spelling and grammar are important to you, skip this book. It was an interesting concept but I couldn’t get past the writing style. It felt like a 14 year old retelling a story to her friends. It also jumped from past to present tense, sometimes within the same sentence. I struggled to connect with or like a single character (Darius is straight up toxic) because there was no emotion in the writing, the pacing was weird, and things weren’t explained well. I know it’s a debut novel, but I feel like it could have been so much more with some good editing.

This was such a fun and spicy read. I listened to the audio and 1000000% recommend doing so to anyone planning to start this series.

This was a fun spin on normal vampire stories. I can’t wait to read the next one 😍🫶🏼

I gave it the first ten chapters, but the spacing was weird, and I wasn't invested in a vampire book. I dnf'd. I may try again later. 3 ⭐

I DNF'd this book at 47%

I feel like it had so much potential, and the actual plot line is good but the execution is so poor.

The speed at which things progressed was way too fast, everything just happening at once with no detail and no character development. All of the characters are so surface level. Within the first couple of chapters the FMC and her friend were being taken away to meet this notorious vampire that we've only just heard about and they're absolutely fine with it, with little explanation. There is no world building so you don't understand why things are happening and the order of beings within this book.

The FMC isn't that likeable, and far too complacent about things... I'm sorry but you've just been told that you get reincarnated every time you die and you're actually the wife of the most notorious vampire but he's under a curse to kill you and you have no questions? You're just okay with it? What??

The MMC is so arrogant and obnoxious, not even in an amusing way but in a really distasteful way. He is rude and very creepy and I didn't like him at all.

The side characters are so dull and don't add anything to the story, they're very pointless. One of the characters has just died and it didn't add anything to the plot, and because we knew nothing about him it wasn't an emotional chapter at all.

I'm disappointed as the plot had really good potential but the execution was done so badly

This book was SO interesting and a totally different take on vampire romance then I've ever seen! The author is so imaginative and I love the *huge* twist she throws in the middle.
The fmc is coming into herself and growing as a strong fmc. The love interest was a bit too dark for my taste but that's definitely what the author was going for so good job!

I’m not gonna lie… it bothered me so much having to rate this one because I’m not one to throw around 1 star ratings. I genuinely wanted to love this book especially because it was recommended to me. Unfortunately.. I just didn’t connect with this.

I saw the authors vision for it & that alone is what pushed me to see the book through. The characters were appealing & the storyline was actually super interesting as well. But the plot just seemed super rushed to me. Some things in the book didn’t really make sense to me either. There were alot of random scene changes & , in my opinion , unnecessary events/character exchanges. & I couldn’t get past how the book was written because it made it that much harder for me to read.

I’m not saying don’t give this book a chance. I know someone personally that truly enjoyed it so it’s possible someone else may really enjoy this book too. I just didn’t want to give a low rating & not explain why the book just wasn’t for ME.

I read 14 chapters and had to DNF (and I’ve never DNF’d a book before). The overall plot would be interesting if the writing was more fleshed out and thoughtful. The writing style feels quite rushed and choppy and jumps all over the place. The ideas and characters feel superficial which is unfortunate because the overall idea of the story would make a great book. Disappointed because I had high hopes from the blurb.

Darius is cursed to keep killing Sabrina over and over again. She’s lived many lives already. When will it be different? Will her and Darius be able to break the curse?

I loved Sabrina and Daphne. I was not a fan of Darius at first lol. But he won me over little by little. I loved the character building, the world building, and the plot.

It’s a debut novel.

This book has decent bones for a plot but the writing is very poor. So many short, clipped, and incomplete sentences dominate the writing. I recommend the author branch out of First Person POV and research how to give better structure and flow to the scenes. Oh, and fire the editor please. Alternatively, they need to hire one.

DNF 17%. The tropes appealed to me, but it moved way too fast for me. It was choppy with many grammar and spelling mistakes.

This is a 1.5 stars rounded up because I am aware this is a debut novel so don't want to be horrible.

I received this audiobook as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I want to start by saying the audiobook narrator did a good job of portraying the different characters and bringing the story to life.

That said, the story is kind of the problem. I am going to take a constructive approach to this because again, it is a debut novel. One thing to point out which I really enjoyed before I jump into that was the plot twist around the middle of the book. It actually threw me off the expected trajectory of the book and I feel given the background that was set into play, it actually made a lot of sense to happen that way. Credit where it is due, this was possibly the best part of the book and I wish the surrounding story had given that moment time to shine and shock in the way it deserved as I truly did not expect it to happen that way - and the way it was written was quite confusing deliberately which again I thought was very well done.

But I have a LOT to say in the way of issues which justify my rating.

There were so many issues with this book. But I think the issue was the pacing and the way so much was attempted. It was like putting a number of cliches into a blender, picking a random assortment, but writing it in the most toxic way possible in terms of dynamic. I really hope the storyline and pacing and characters grow in the next books in the series, which I see are already published. I will personally not be reading them. Once again, I am grateful for the ARC of the audiobook and wish to point out the narrator at least did a great job - it is the contents of the book that truly bothered me!

Read your trigger warnings

Let's start this off by saying… Do you like vampires? Do you like fae? Yes? Ok good. This book could be for you! It also has some spice. If you know me, I have a high spice rating. The characters make the book. The plot is good, the pacing is great. I would call this a palette cleanser for me. (I read dark romance) I love her writing style. It has good flow and doesn't have holes in the plot. The ending made me yell at the author on a Tiktok live… it is a cliffhanger so make sure you have book 2 before you finish!

I enjoyed the book, and the story was very intriguing, however the pacing seemed all over the place and I found myself rather confused at times. I feel like this could be a really good book if it got spread out a little bit more (maybe another 100 pages or so) so that things could get properly explained without having to skip forward so much. I also disliked Darius’ entire character pretty much, as he was an asshole almost the entire time, he was just so unlikeable that I couldn’t understand why Sabrina would want to be anywhere near him by choice 😅
Also, just what was the point in being there for Sabrina’s “protection” when all he did was take her directly to the vampire that wanted to kill her??! (I forgot the character’s name, the guy her best friend immediately jumps on at the start)

Fangtastic!!!

First let me say I have an unhealthy infatuation with vampires. I love a good vampire or a morally grey one. This book did not disappoint there. It was amazing! I finished it in less then 24 hours. The characters are fascinating. I’m drawn to them. I can’t wait to learn more about the magic system and the world they are in. I’m obsessed.

I'm not sure why I've kept putting this book off. I read another book with a similar concept that was a disappointment. But this one? I'm RUNNING to book 2! The heartbreak that's being loved through over and over again 😭😭 I really enjoyed the plot line in this story. Definitely a vampire romance with a new spin that belongs on the top of your TBR!

What a fantastically wild ride….

I absolutely loved walking into this story with no idea what to expect and it definitely starts with a bang. This entire story was very creative and unexpected and I enjoyed every moment of it. Sabrina is this sweet young woman who keeps having nightmares of being destroyed by the king whom she’s never met. Sabrina and her best friend Isabelle try to keep to themselves especially knowing there are vampires that want to destroy humans. Although is that the case that they’ve never met? Darius wants nothing more than to have the love of his life, unfortunately some people don’t want that to be and they choose to create a curse. The humans know Darius to be the most vile of princes of the kingdom and will kill humans at an alarming rate. Will anyone or anything satisfy his appetite? This is just the first book in this series but it was such a fantastic read that I’m extremely excited for the next one! If you enjoy fantasy, romance, violence, magic, action then give this book a read.

The book was a fast and easy read. Everything was introduced incredibly fast, a little too fast, as the world building was minimal and there was important information, like history, that wasn't introduced. This didn't bother me too much as it's too common that these events are drawn out, but the lack of background info was irritating at times. The plot was interesting and different, but at times it became repetitive in situations, conversations, and character flaws. The book was very surface in terms of character depth. There was very little to even the main characters so I felt no attachment to them. All the characters had instant eternal connections that I never felt. They met and BOOM instant BFF or mate or lover or you name it. The characters filled their role, but had nothing to them, and the relationships were supposedly existent, although I felt no bond between any of them.
This is a fast reading palette cleanser, nothing much to it though.

Vampire Cursed to Unalive his Love

I was more impressed with the last quarter of the book than the beginning. The Darius MMC under a curse to kill the MFC, Sabrina. Darius is very narcissistic and split personalities that were hard to follow accept. I wish there was more character development to grow to love them before they died or did a heroic deed.
The spice was there but lacking. Fight, threaten unalive, spice, & back to the main story.

I REALLY wanted to like this book. I think the concept was different enough to be a great story. The main character’s though were infuriating. The MMC is a gaslighting ass and the MFC is for sure 18 and acts like it. The pacing was so off, it felt like it was written as a fanfic and then wasn’t edited for a book. It really needed more showing not telling. I do hope the author keeps writing and bettering their books because again, it had good bones but the bite didn’t sink in.

I see what was attempted here but the story jumped about too much for me, I hated Darius.
The typos were too frequent (Kindle) and ruined any flow I tried to get into.
I can see the potential though.

From the first chapter, the characters draw you into them !
As one moves further into chapters, one is absorbed so much into the drama that one crave for “ what next “. Character’s transition into future, present and past is unbelievably, smooth, keeping all devices intact .
In my case , I got carried away so much that I couldn’t stop myself till the end. 7 hours !
After finishing first book in Blood Singer Trilogy , I had to read the second book. Author left no room for any laxity after finishing first book , to crave for next book in line.

The way the gothic realm and characters are presented , it leaves one awestruck! Every attention is given to every character and scene that whole novel runs like movie before the reader !
In short : Read it !!!

I really enjoyed this book it's fast-paced and action-packed. The main male characteristics to a point that a lot of people can't stand him but he's a vampire what else do you expect from a vampire especially one cursed to kill his wife over and over again and go into a blood frenzy craze. Until the curse is broken there's no room for growth for this man though he keeps trying over and over again to break the spell. The female main character keeps feeling pulled towards him, constantly falling in Love or just being afraid of him as each time she dies and is reincarnated as the curse goes.

I really enjoyed this book with all of its twists and turns. I can't wait to see how the characters grow once the curse is broken in the upcoming novels.
