***Large Print Edition*** ★★★★★ "Don’t miss out on this fast-paced espionage thriller!!!" One Murder. One Culprit. Case Closed? The #1 International Crime Thriller Bestseller William Hackett finds himself in a system he doesn't understand. He's accused of a crime and the Russians want blood. His. Somehow this peaceful father killed a man in cold blood. A man about to launch a groundbreaking piece of technology. As political tensions rise, they will dance to a tune with the most sinister of crescendos. UK/Russian relations are at an all-time low - and then this happens! The author uses his time living in Russia to make that culture come alive in the pages of this novel, recalling first-hand places and parts of the city that you'll feel like you're there too. What the readers are saying so ★★★★★ "Read this book in three days, a record for me! This is an amazing storyline that keeps you guessing throughout with lots of twists and turns. The characters are real and with lots of depths and have the chance to be really developed through future books. Well done and let’s have another soon!" ★★★★★ "Once again Mr Heath delivers a fantastic read in this fast-paced espionage thriller on par with the likes of Frederick Forsyth and John le Carré." ★★★★★ "I greatly enjoyed reading The Tablet! I found the story to be well crafted, with plenty of twists to keep me guessing. I could easily see it as a movie one day. Great characters, too. Overall it’s a fast-paced novel perfect for fans of Bond or Bourne." ★★★★★ "Absolutely loved this third novel from Tim Heath. Having read The Last Prophet, the suspense level for what The Tablet is was magnified. Does it or doesn’t it? Mix that in with a fast-paced crime and spy thriller storyline and I was hooked and didn’t want to put it down. Looking forward to seeing what happens in the next in the series. Get writing Tim!" ★★★★★ "I received an advanced review copy of The Tablet and have to say I wasn’t disappointed. Nicely paced, the tension ratchets wonderfully as the clock ticks to unearth the truth and save Bill, while international animosity escalates. The number of twists were set up and revealed well. All in all a great read. Tim’s best yet!"

a fast-paced thriller, with lots of surprises and interesting characters. The ending wasn't how I'd have liked it to be. And part of the explanations in the end was something I thought of right away and was wondering why all those secret agents never thought about.

MI6 and FSB Working Together?

The Tablet is an engrossing story of agents from MI6 and FSB working together to solve a crime. The setting is primarily St Petersburg and Tim (the author) provides us a vivid picture of the city making it another character in the story.

This is a very engrossing story. The time frame to investigate and solve the crime is very realistic and added to my enjoyment.

Not on ku so must have gotten it thru one of my free book sites. Spy Thriller I guess, something usually don't bother to read, but since it was this writer and had it along with Those geese, they lied. He's Dead. which is a short story collection but also have Cherry Picking which is more but like this one but not really, and The Last Prophet, hard to explain, but definitely had to read through this.

Heath creates a well-written spy thriller with many twists and turns. His characters are detailed with interesting depth. The story develops with unexpected plot deviations. If you enjoy a British-Russian, highly-charged, political-espionage, page-turner, this is the book for you.

This is a solid 4.5 stars for me. At first I felt a little daunted because it’s heavy in politics, and I am by no means a politician. Turns out you don’t need to be and the politics in fact, just add an extra layer to the entire story. It added to the tense feelings while reading. It touches on relationships, friendships, law, government and the lengths people will go to, to make some money.

I usually like to have a guess about what night happy in the early stages. In this instance, I couldn’t have been more wrong! It’s always a sign of excellent writing for me, when I just can’t guess where the story is heading until I read it.

The chapters are a good length, I don’t like huge chapters, so that’s a definite bonus for me.

This book was for the most part, a case of ‘why’ rather than ‘who’ which was a refreshing take on a murder mystery.

As well as all of the above, character development (a big thing for me) was great. I went through a series of emotions for many of the characters. I started off disliking one, then I grew to love that character and genuinely felt for him.

This read certainly kept me on my toes and I’ll most certainly be looking into buying some of the follow up series to keep me going.

I enjoyed this one however I found it quite predictable since I figured out most of the plot early on. It was because of this that some of the writing was a little tedious but I did enjoy the read.

Thank you.

The Tablet!!! Everything is about a tablet! No.. Everything is about a murder. No... Everything is about the killer. No.. Everything is about the victim. NO...Everything is about the Russia and the UK. No... I can't even decide! It's a crime that is not what it seems. The story has so many turns that I couldn't let the book down! As always Tim knows how to play with your mind! Action, political issues, thriller, money corruption, painful past, FSB, MI6, ruthless motives, surprises, drama, passion.... You just can't miss it! And the better part? Maybe it will have a sequel!!!??? PLEASE???? Horey!
