The 4th book of the Sandemo series.
"Shell"
Our protagonist is a 22 year old woman, called Sarah.
Recently she had her heart broken, as the man she liked chose someone else. She moved to another town.
A coworker of hers thought that she's an easy prey. The said man was 40 years old, and showed her interest to boost his own confidence. He wanted to prove himself that no woman can refuse him. Despite being married, he still chases after women. Saying how unhappy he is in his marriage, how he can leave at any moment. He has children too. His name is Eric.
There's also a police officer, who is an important part of the story. Our protagonists shows feelings for him, since the moment she first sees him. His name is Alfred.
We got yet another murder story. Sarah's uncle got killed.
The main action takes place in Sri Lanka.

I honestly dislike this story.
Sarah is so annoying. At times pretending to be moral and thinking about Eric's children, then still thinking about boning a married man. Plus side is getting an insight into a mind of a homewrecker. From the get go it's known that she will end up with Alfred, but still the situation with Eric was so nerve wracking.
His way of attracting a woman blows my mind too. Sounds like a way to attract a low value partner, only immoral people with no empathy would be manipulated by that. Alfred was too good for her.
Sarah is my most hated character written by Margit Sandemo.
This book left me with a bad aftertaste.
Alright, enough rant.
