I like how Moro’s backstory was elaborated a bit at first as a plane accident survivor. It explains how he has the skills to have fixed up Kina and helped her and Alice get to tokyo. But how does it explain his role in border road? i wonder if all these characters have a shared traumatic event like those in borderland did, but it seems more unlikely that that is the case now that we know that Moro was exploring on his own after being rescued after 10 years of isolation on the deserted island after the plane crash.
Kuki seems to have a liking for Kiina, which is great because it saved her and Alice’s life from Ayon in the hot air balloon when he shot it down, but terrible because i’m sure he will go on to pursue them and stop at nothing. i don’t think his intentions are innocent because he had taken a picture up one of their skirts before he ended up shackled to the pole.
most of this volume is a show down in the forest between nearly all the characters. Alice and Moro are gridlocked against Ayon, Kiina has run away and is trying to evade Kuki while Kimari confronts her.
they keep saying that a high school girl is the reason for their “duty”, and it’s revealed in this volume that the high school girl in question is Kiina (not Alice, surprisingly).
as this series comes to a close, i’m eager for answers.
